I myself love fauxhawks. They're simple, easy to style, and not extremely "HEY LOOK AT ME". But I can't say the same for other girls. The first two haircuts look fucking ridiculous, but the last one is probably.. the best one out of the three. Looks like he's trying too hard to look like a complete tool though.

I don't know, I've got long-ish/shaggy hair and that's getting me no where, but I still love my hair.
If you're looking to impress someone, confidence goes leagues farther than good hair.

There's a kid at my school who does his hair like a monsoon in the front that swoops up like 7 inches. It looks absolutely ridiculous.

both of those are horrible
The second one that VaugeWisdom posted wouldn't be so bad if the top of the "faux"hawk didn't look so separated from the bottom. It looks like it was just plastered on top of his normal hair. If it actually flowed together it could possibly look better.
I personally would suggest experimenting with your hair and finding out what looks good, you could also go greaser style like me and comb it back.
