The irony of your post.
I don't recall saying I wanted Trump to demolish the liberal left
makes u thihnk
what
Well, he was right about this.
not really. sjw's and shit like that are basically a non-factor when it comes to why hillary lost, and if you think that you really need to re-examine why you think that.
If more people were like him on the liberal camp, we would be in a much better place honestly.
God how did I miss this.
Saying that Bill Maher should represent the left is like saying early batshit insane Glenn Beck should represent the right.
Both left wing media and right wing media have top 10 lists of why Bill Maher is trash. Instead of focusing on solutions, he focuses on quick "GOTCHA" zingers and stupidity disguised as "KEEPING IT REAL" to entertain his audience.
what
i want to make amends and hug

will you forgive me for being a dirty leftoid + tranny

or maybe he's a political comedian and not a comedic politician.
here's the critical mistake we've all been making: we're trying to live moral lives in an utterly immoral system, and that's why we're doing insane shit to try to make it better
or maybe he's a political comedian and not a comedic politician.
Yeah he's a comedian. I get that. Comedians and entertainers shouldn't represent the left though, especially ones that try to break his idea of political correctness.
[editline]5[/editline]
Even when he's not trying to be funny he has some pretty terrible opinions that I don't think would represent the left. For example, he's okay with NSA's spying program because Obama is in office.
Let me just say this: to me, this issue is not a no-brainer; it's a brainer. You have to really think about it. It's kind of a 50-50 thing. There is no doubt that we have probably stopped terrorist plots by doing this. But it is a slippery slope and I say this as a person who usually thinks a 'slippery slope' argument is bullshit. This really is a slippery slope. You know, I'm okay with it now that Obama's in office, I'm kind of trusting of him, but with President Ted Cruz, where this is going, would bother me.
Which is pretty appalling considering he believes strongly in freedom, unless that just applies to his crusade against political correctness.

not to mention during the campaign trail he was basically hillary's bitch and saying 'oh she's not the best of the worst, she's the best!' and now that they lost he can't be as smug so he's gotta fumble for shit to say and blame everyone else.
Yeah he's a comedian. I get that. Comedians and entertainers shouldn't represent the left though, especially ones that try to break his idea of political correctness.
Is it ok for comedians to represent the right then? Oh and what is his idea of political correctness that you don't like?
I'm sorry I laughed at richard spencer being punched in the face... he probably has some shit going on for the last 20 years of his life
I guarantee he's dealing with some dumb shit, probably gay or trans and feels trapped

Not very nice. His parents are dead, they committed suicide in the bunker.
Is it ok for comedians to represent the right then? Oh and what is his idea of political correctness that you don't like?
I don't think comedians or entertainers should represent the right. Truth be told, I don't think that one person should represent an entire spectrum of political ideology.
Again, I get that he's a comedian and he tries to be edgy with his humor but he thinks that political correctness is a problem. It isn't as much as he think it is. The only place where political correctness is a problem is in universities. Virtually all the other issues with political correctness are just corporations using PR to cover their asses.
Besides he isn't even full anti-vaxxer. Just the "we need more regulation and oversight on it for health concerns." kinda guy who still wants them.
You mean the exact same creeping incremental legislation that the right distrusts the left over.
All it would take is someone pointing out that concept, and drawing an allusion to gun control, and the discussion would be over. Drowned out by the torrent of rage directed at "lying liberals." Bill Mahr would be an awful spokesperson for the left.
i can't even bad mad
[editline]29th January 2017[/editline]
be mad, sorry - at the right
im gonna kill bill maher and dance around in his skin
what is it that rightists live for?
im gonna kill bill maher and dance around in his skin
harsh but fair... everyone's entitled to an opinion
Complain about how the Left is whiny, by fretting non stop about libcucks ruining everything and posting every damn day how much you hate them and oh how wrong they are and how much more right the Right is? It's like you need to tell yourself every day that you're right for you to believe in it. I'm liberal, I'll continue to be liberal, no I don't complain about meaningless shit like people cheering for someone not of their own race, because we all already know that's just dumb and against common sense. I'm a liberal because I believe no culture, religion, nationality or race is above another, nor does it form who you are or who you choose to become.
Outrage culture doesn't come strictly from the left. It's a demonstration of intolerance, of radicalism. It's the inability to believe you're fallible, so whoever doesn't agree with your worldview isn't just wrong or stupid, it's someone who needs to be silenced, who deserves retaliation.

They just wanna do the right thing.
They just wanna do the right thing.
I just wanna be left alone
[editline]29th January 2017[/editline]
I really don't believe right is dumber than left or vice versa. the smarter you get the better you get at justifying things honestly

I think the best would be to take a little from column A and a little from column B.
In fact, not many completely agree with all the politics that parties have. Wouldn't it be nice if instead we had a checklist for things to vote for? More money into healthcare? Yes. More money into education? Yes. Raise taxes for Sugar? No. Etc and etc. That would be an interesting system.

I would definitely say a lot more people on the right are easily fooled by the billionaires at the top who say they're for the people, while also wanting to cut minimum wage, child support, healthcare, and government care in general, as well as promoting shit like trickle down economics and tax cuts for the uber rich. And so many people on the right fall for it and believe that those rich people are going to give back. But then again, politics is all about bullshitting and lying to get people to trust you.

Oh the right isn't innocent in this either. Not at all.
The problem is, you are failing to account for one simple thing. The left will continue to lose a war of outrage culture because they are outnumbered and targeting majority groups. It's not an argument of whether the left is correct, or even simply less wrong. It's an argument of simple pragmatism. You cannot win playing the finger pointing game of screaming incoherently.
Eventually the bluff is called, and when it is, even the good ideas get crushed alongside the bad ones.
how do you play victim in one thread and then in the next thread go full on "grrr the left!!"
By hitting the 'post' button. Happens several times per day.
"basket of deplorables?"
that didn't make anyone switch over from hillary to trump. all it did was make some people roll their eyes.
