So seeing how Storm of Swords is going to be split in two seasons, what do you think they'll end it on? (MAJOR ASOS SPOILERS) [sp]The Red Wedding or Joffrey's death?[/sp]
Oh my god. It actually happens? I'm gonna stock up on popcorn and just throw it all at my screen while whooping like a lunatic when that happens.

He's gonna be his usual arrogant self, abusing Sansa etc. But he won't get killed by anyone with a sword or something, he'll be poisoned.[/sp]

Do I want to know what happens to The Hound?[/sp]
So [sp]Sansa and The Hound fail to get away like they said they would after the S2 finale? Do I want to know what happens to The Hound?[/sp]
[sp]Sansa never said she is going to leave King's Landing. Sansa said no.[/sp]
So [sp]Sansa and The Hound fail to get away like they said they would after the S2 finale? Do I want to know what happens to The Hound?[/sp]
[sp]Sansa didn't escape with the Hound, she was in the last episode, being rejected by Joffrey and talking to Littlefinger. The Hound is gone but Sansa is still there. I reckon Joffrey is far more likely to be in the fourth season. Although it does seem like a good end to the series if you look at previous ones. Danny emerging from the fire with the Dragons, the proper reveal of the White Walkers, Joffrey spluttering and dying for all to see, could be good.[/sp]

Here's some new (official) posters: [thumb]http://img2-2.timeinc.net/ew/i/2012/07/09/GOT_Ansin_667.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://img2-2.timeinc.net/ew/i/2012/07/09/GOT_Vania_727.jpeg[/thumb]
I really love the second one.
Just wondering, who is your guys favourite POV character? Like, who do you prefer reading through the eyes of and such. Cos I hope I'm not the only one who dislikes reading Sansa's and Catelyn's ((book 3) [sp]Apart from her last one hehehe[/sp]) chapters. I don't care too much for Davos' as well. Jon's are probably my favourite. Or (book 5) [sp]Theon's just cos i like the exposition (not too sure if that's the right word) it gives Ramsay.[/sp]
Just wondering, who is your guys favourite POV character?
Jaime's. The evolution of his character is incredible to behold. After that, certainly Jon. You'll feel fonder towards Sansa's chapter's on a re-read, trust me.

Tyrion because he seems to interact with people in diverse ways. Jon's pov is good too, but I think it's because his place in the world is the most epic(the wall/wildings/others).
I'm still half-way through the first book but Jon is my favorite with Tyrion in second. Jon because his experience at the Wall is fun to read and Tyrion simply because he is Tyrion.

Just because he starts off cocky and arrogant (pretty much like a male cersi without the cockyness) and then over the course of the books he starts to become down to earth and somewhat mature.
Got my books in the mail! Now just need to see if I'll start reading now or wait until my 2 week holiday.
In your position I'd read now.
Just picked up Clash of kings. Worth reading if i've seen the 2nd season?
Anyone who start's reading the books from any other book but the first is a fucking retard. [editline]11th July 2012[/editline] Seriously, don't even bother.
Just picked up Clash of kings. Worth reading if i've seen the 2nd season?
Honestly the shows only cover about a half of each book. Even though show handles a very small scale of characters better (Tyrion is much more fun to watch than read) the books are about twice the scale and much more easier to believe and therefor get lost. The show also misses out on pretty much all the forshadowing, sub-plots and minor character development.
I love reading from Tyrion's perspective his quips as thoughts to himself are something that the show can't do, one I really enjoyed was I think in Clash of Kings, not a big spoiler at all [sp]His first conversation with Varys, he is saying things and thinking along the lines of "see, I can play this game too" [/sp].

yeah GRRM said the show can convey things visually. people were talking about how Cat is more of a bitch to Snow in the first book than in season 1 but at the same time she gives him horrible looks in the show
I know this is a bit of a stretch, but I'm on vacation and I just finished a feast for crows. Does anybody know if I can buy a dance with dragons in english in france? Been looking afew places and they only have it in french
Fuck I'm out of episodes to watch, I watched both seasons in the span of one week. I really enjoyed the type of humor near the end of the second season. The horn blower in winterfell is fucking gold.
Why are 70 some people reading the thread right now?
GoT is just that good
Well, that viewer count dropped like a pillow case full of bricks thrown into a lake.
Oh my god MAJOR ASOS spoilers, I just read the part where PLEASE DON'T CLICK IF YOU HAVEN'T READ ALL OF ASOS. [sp]Catelyn and Robb die[/sp] [editline]13th July 2012[/editline] And holy shit, that hit me. Came out of nowhere. Wow.
