But Sansa's a scared little girl doing what she thinks is right. You can't blame her.
That doesn't take the blame off of her at all, at least for me. She could have any excuse in the world, it doesn't exempt her from the responsibility of her actions.
And Cat's only fuckup was releasing Jamie and capturing Tyion.
Honestly Robb fucked up more times then his mother.
Just finished the first book, after having watched season 1 of the tv series.
I want to move onto season/book two now - but which order would be better this time?

Show first otherwise you'll get angry at all the changes
I just marathon watched both seasons over the last week.
I'm hooked. Never knew anything about it, never read the books.
ADWD - MAJOR SPOILER [sp]It's quite likely that he survived, either by taking over Ghost, by Melissandre reviving him (like Thoros of Myr, both priests of Rh'llor, so she might luck out and find the last rites reviving him) or maybe the wounds aren't fatal and so on. He's too stuck in to things for him to die so abruptly imo.[/sp]
[sp]I fucking hope so, Jon is one of my favorite characters and it's horseshit to just kill him off like that.[/sp]

[sp] Has GRRM ever fully killed off a PoV character apart from Ned? [/sp]
ADWD thoughts: [sp]what are you thoughts on Aegon? Do you guys think he's who he claims to be? I think he is but the bit about the mummers dragon just makes me think he's like Viserys, a Targaryen but not a "dragon." So he'll probably die. By fire.[/sp]

[sp] He was basically raised by Varys. Varys is a master mummer = Aegon is the mummer's dragon. I think he's legit, personally. And I want him to take the Iron Throne and not Dany, I think she's obviously insane like her brother, but we don't see it like that in her PoV chapters because it's HER PoV [/sp]

[sp]I don't think she's insane, just incompetent. It really bothered me throughout ADWD how stupid some of her decisions were. But yeah, I'm actually also with Aegon, even if he doesn't have dragons.[/sp]

This was a spoilerish report of a scene with Theon that someone saw for next season. Obvious Book Spoilers.
So I just finished that certain part of book 3, [sp]The Red Wedding. I really hope the conspirators all die painfully. I hope Roose Bolton is bled to death with leeches and Walder Frey has to watch as northmen butcher every single one of his 5000 children.[/sp]
Yeah, I just reached that part too. It sincerely disturbed me, especially the supposed aftermath.

[sp]Roose[/sp] is a great villain though despite what he does. Ramasy on the other hand... To put it blunt the (ADWD)[sp]Theon Greyjoy[/sp] chapters are just physically painful to read and he's worse then Joeffry in more ways than one.
EDIT: To be more clear I think Ramasy is worse than Joeffry, [sp]not Theon[/sp]
The whole Game of Thrones is actually one big, depressive, dark mess. I mean, it's not like it gets you depressed reading/watching it but you just get that feeling. It's a very grim story. But that's what makes it good.

definitely bitter sweet.
Do Bran and Dany's stories get any better? I lost interest in Dany whining about the iron throne in the second book, and I'm not sure what the hell Bran is supposed to be doing. Does Howland wonder where the heck his kids have gone?
Bran's gets better. Definitely some revelations later on. The most interesting part about Dany is the people surrounding her imo, like [sp]ser barristan, because she just lingers around in the east, and nothing happens until midways in ADWD.[/sp]
edit:
[sp]And something i really dig about Bran is that after he learns to control ravens and watch from the trees, the chapters with Jon and Theon (in the winds of winter excerpt) you can see Bran trying to communicate with them through the birds. Gives a nice sense of things happening at a larger scale, even if nothing is made of it because Jon and Theon are oblivious to it. Jon moreso than Theon.[/sp]

Yes, the story isn't about good guys bad guys. It's about everyone pursuing his own interests not giving a damn about everyone else. I've only seen up to season 2 but i wouldn't be surprised at all if some main character dies, someone of the start house maybe.

I think it's funny that Howland just lets his kids run around Westeros without any supervision, just sending them on their own to Winterfell.

I have a feeling Howland will be appearing in TWOW, to confirm what we all know.

I really enjoyed Bran's raven dreams in the series, I hope they turn out like them, mysterious and cryptic.

OMG this is awesome, now I won't have to wait years for my favourite part of the story!!
[sp] Has GRRM ever fully killed off a PoV character apart from Ned? [/sp]
(ADWD) [sp]He kills off Quentyn Martell but he only has like four POV chapters anyway. Also, a lot of the POV characters from prologues/epilogues and such die but I guess they don't really count.[/sp]

Prologue characters [sp]invariably die[/sp] or at least have done so far iirc.
Near the end of ASOS now: [sp]Holy shit, Tyrion. "Lord Tywin Lannister did not, in the end, shit gold." That's just superb.[/sp]

[SP] I think all of the Slaver Bay PoV's come close to dying in ADWD. It was inevitable that one was going to die. (Tyrion nearly dies numerous times, Dany flies away with Drogon, Victarion and his infected arm etc) [/sp]

ADWD [sp]Not to mention Belwas and his locusts.[/sp]
Just finished season one after a good 5 episode marathon. Fuck this is great.
Aaaaaaaaaalright, the epilogue of ASOS. Explain. [sp]Is it truly her? Did they just not manage to kill her fully? Might just be I bless R'hllor for this.[/sp]

I started watching, and I didn't stop until I had finished the entire series.
Went from episode 1 to 10 without any breaks.

Post ASOS Spoilers [sp]Akin to how Thoros revived Beric, Beric revived a waaay too far gone Catelyn because Thoros refused. This process truly killed Beric for the last time, but revived Catelyn. A fucking insane Catelyn.[/sp]
