I love this show soooo much ! when is the new series starting? series 3
I think they've only just finished casting the new characters so a while yet.
Season 3 begins Sunday March 31st, 2013.
That awkward feeling when you realize you've been touching your sister for the better part of the day. Theon still isn't getting that pretty much everyone hates him.
I think that they'll diverge a bit from the [sp]flaying[/sp] and what not. Considering how he got dragged away from winterfell and how they can't exactly lose one of the main stars and such.
Half of Facepunch is king of the friendzone
Well maybe. but i'm the lord regent of the 25 million realms of the friend zone and i will have my taxes in the form of steam games. Otherwise you'll all be forced to leav... wait... FUCK!

I'm thinking the Ironborn in the show made a deal to surrender but will just end up flayed.[/sp]
I have yet to encounter a Braavosi who isn't awesome. Granted I've only met Syrio and Jaqen, but usually by now I'd meet a guy or girl that soured the group. Also Cersei seems to be very... Uhh... "Loving" to her family.
But Jaqen is Lorathi
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the next series will get a personal 0/10 if they do not include Casso, KING OF SEALS.
But Jaqen is Lorathi
how do we know this? he should be able to change his accent and everything else about him when he changes his face
how do we know this? he should be able to change his accent and everything else about him when he changes his face
Jaqen the persona is Lorathi. We have no way of knowing where the faceless man is from.
Not finished a Clash of Kings yet, please tell me the Faceless men are featured more often later on. Will Arya take up Jaqen's offer?
Not finished a Clash of Kings yet, please tell me the Faceless men are featured more often later on. Will Arya take up Jaqen's offer?
[sp] You'll find out more about them, yeah. [/sp]

Just enjoy the books as you read
Finished book 9, or in US terms, first half of book 5 and I have to say the writing gets more and more lazy. It's full of translation errors, passages thatI don't want to read ( there is a FULL site just describing, hell no, LISTING food items of the Crows), some stuff about Tyrion is downright unnecessary for anything and totally out of Character and now to my main complaint: While the "jump from character to character" approach was really nice for introducing the world and the setting all of that, now that everyone who reads it has found his facourite/least favourite character it just creates a sense of staleness. It feels like there is nothing happening at all. Furthermore I read stuff that I couldn't care less about and that will probably be important after the next 3 books or so. I feel lost. I am reading a random compilation of scenes rather than a story. Moreso now that the character got somewhat split and BARELY have anything to do with eachother for a long time. I'm losing the fun of reading the books.

Either the translation is truly terrible, or you are misreading it. There is a chapter which features a description of food supplies on the wall, but that is really important to the story, as it explains why certain story events happened in book 4 (4+5 take place at the same time) The whole point of the story is to be told from multiple angles, as it's too easy to fall into a one character is a superhero if you try to stick to too few characters, and you can't tell about the story in another part of the world properly. The wall doesn't know much about King's Landing, let alone Dorne, Braavos, Astapor or Mereen, and ravens take a while to fly. You have to put the scenes together to get the whole story, it's not a one man protagonist book, it's more of a story.
I've read high fantasy, I've read low fantasy, or high fantasy becoming low. But I've never, never seen low fantasy become high. Which is apparently EXACTLY what's happening in the book right now. So the presence of dragons makes magic more potent, eh? Just got finished with the [sp]House of the Undying chapter, and that much was obvious (that part was trippy; some random slaughter, a guy with a wolf head, some flashback to when Aegon was a baby, and the Red Door.)[/sp]
holy SHIT I JUST REALIZED WHO THE WOLF HEAD WAS OH MY GOD JEEZE LOUISE
I knew it the second I read it, and it frightened me deeply.

How can I hate Jaime when he's just so adorable? Also Robb... Why do you have to be such an idiot? I mean seriously the kid has zero political savvy, he continually pisses off Rickard Karstark and broke his truce with the powerful Freys "because love" and in the process earned what? A nobody wife, a nobody House, a good chunk of his army and an enemy that he's going to have to come across sooner or later. At least Catelyn's trying to patch it up with setting up another marriage, but I'm doubting Frey will accept it.
It's been established that Robb is shit outside of war because of everything that happened to him at such a young age, but a brilliant commander. Also, you are going to love the ever loving shit out of the next few chapters.

As a Stark, he was honor bound to marry her. Honor is a bitch.
Now Lysa is gonna marry Littlefinger and Sansa will be wed to Tyrion and Cersei is gonna have to marry Willas and Margarine is going to marry Joffrey the Sociopath. So many marriages, what do they mean. Also it's a shame Sansa isn't gonna marry Willas anymore, although he was a cripple he sounded kindly and capable enough, to say nothing of him being the inheritor of Highgarden. To be honest the Tyrells strike me as less incestuous, less dickish Lannisters, aka I wouldn't mind if THEY held the Iron Throne, but nooooooo, it's gotta be Joffrey and Marge.
Just keep reading
Weddings are a bad idea. That's what I learned with ASOIAF
