and here i thought this was a storm of swords spoiler aaaaaaaaaaaaa
None of that happened yet you schmuck it's all speculation.
I'm currently halfway through Feast For Crows and all I can say is I'm loving it, especially Jaime (he went from an ass to [sp]a suitable Tyrion replacement[/sp], I think his dickery was concentrated in his [sp]right hand[/sp] before [sp]Daffy Duck cut it off.[/sp]) But you know what I like about it the most? Littlefinger. I mean I loved him before, but he's easily now my favorite character when he's available. Speaking of scheming little shits, [sp]Cersei[/sp] chapters are a close second because of how [sp]god awful she is at ruling. I mean DAMN, she's almost as bad a ruler as she is a mother.[/sp]
Without words in the spoiler tags, this is almost like a create-your-own sentence.
I'm currently halfway through Feast For Crows and all I can say is I'm loving it, especially Jaime (he went from an ass to a fully-fledged cockbag, I think his dickery was concentrated in his hair before he had it done in a perm.) But you know what I like about it the most?
Yup. AFFC/ADWD [sp]A child's game doesn't excuse Walder. When the Manderlys come for his head and the Umbers mount it on a pike in Winterfell for King Rickon, mayhaps we'll see how he feels about that fuck up.[/sp]
north remembers yo
Major Storm of Swords spoiler [sp] Did anyone else feel upset when Robb Stark died? I just read past it and wow, It reminded me he was only a boy trying to avenge his father. The North better get some great revenge or it will never feel the same for me. [/sp]

[/sp]
ASoS [sp]I never really related with Robb, he was just bland and boring to me. I honestly couldn't have cared less about him as a character. He was petty and stupid, shoving honour in front of everything even after he knew that his dad died for it, then marrying Jeyne instead of a Frey, which dishonoured him for oathbreaking, a much greater dishonour than getting a bastard, which to his knowledge his dad did whilst still remaining honourable. Then there's his stubbornness to not attempt to ally with either Stannis the Mannis or Renly when he crowns himself as king in the North and the fact he's too stupid to listen to Catelyn and sends Theon off to the Iron Islands. Winterfell wouldn't even have fallen if he'd have not sent Theon, as Winterfell was too far inland for the Ironborn to care until they'd taken most of the coastal areas. Oh yeah, and the way he lets the riverlords away to protect their land, right after noticing that Edmure was doing the exact same thing earlier and it fucked up massively.[/sp]

He believes that he knows better than everyone due to the Whispering Woods, and acts like a total dipshit because of it. I'd personally rank him as worse than Sansa in book 1. (though Sansa gets good quickly) Maybe if we'd have had a PoV he'd be more likable, but Martin doesn't do PoVs of kings. I'd need to see the rationalisation from his side, as he strikes me as way too headstrong to rule his way out of a cardboard box.[/sp]
sansa is still terrible even after all the current books she will always be terrible
sansa is still terrible even after all the current books she will always be terrible
Hey now, [sp]give her a little time to learn the ropes from Littlefinger and, in time, she might be an alright character.[/sp] Speaking of characters getting more or less interesting, I'm kind of losing my interest in [sp]Arya/Cat of the Canals[/sp]. At first I thought the [sp]Faceless Men[/sp] would be kinda cool, but after we get to learn more about them it sorta loses the mystique. [sp]She can never be as boring to read as Brienne though.[/sp] Oh, and why does GRRM have to play around with Davos so much? First at the end of ASOS [sp]Martin keeps us in the dark as to whether or not Stannis killed him, and then without even giving the Onion Knight a line he's reportedly killed by the Manderlys, what the fuck. Speaking of that part of the North, apparently there's some sort of Frey genocide going on with the BwB hunting them down and hanging them. All I gotta say to that is... Good start.[/sp]
oh god brienne worse than sansa, how is that even possible
worst pov was quentyn martell in ADWD so pointless
oh god brienne worse than sansa, how is that even possible
The entirety of her in Feast for Crows seems to be, "I walk around for a few chapters before I hit a dead end, then I go another way with a Septon and hit another dead end, now I'm just sorta wandering around looking for [sp]Sansa[/sp]." Except we know exactly where [sp]Sansa[/sp] is, which makes the entire hunt moot since she doesn't get the slightest inkling of where she really is. I mean fuck, I'd excuse that if she was laying down some great background or characters that'll become relevant later on, but everything in her chapters have been expressed better in the POVs of others with the only useful bit of info is [sp]the Hound is dead... Sorta, he might be a monk.[/sp]
yeah... her chapters might actually be interesting if there was any suspense in her quest sorry grrm, maybe in the next novel she'll be interesting [editline]25th September 2012[/editline] but yeah i mean worse than sansa in more than one way. not only is she boring but she's really really stupidly naive.

I mean I get the feeling Cersei that was one of the biggest "holy shit you're dumb" moments in her regency, along with ignoring the Iron Bank and going batshit paranoid on the Tyrells.[/sp]

Whenever Cersei gets that pleased with her self you know she just did something stupid.[/sp]
I hope we get to see him in the [sp]Faith Militant.[/sp]
if there wasn't such a massive distance between the quiet isle and King's Landing I would LOVE him to end up being the faith's champion against Cersei's... I know GRRM likes to subvert tropes and whatnot but he's been building up and foreshadowing some showdown between those two [sp]bros[/sp] for so long
You just know it's coming, maybe not even till the end.

so it seems many things for dany come in 3s adwd spoilers: [sp]hizdar will probably die or dany won't give a shit about him, guesses for her third and possibly final husband?[/sp]
worst pov was quentyn martell in ADWD so pointless
I thought his chapters were really good He was part of the whole ADWD SPOILER[sp]The sun rises in the west sets in the east, mountains will fall and rise, prophecy thing. (i dont remember how it goes exactly)[/sp]
I've been told Noah Taylor is definitely playing Vargo Hoat.
Hope he slobbers properly.

I recall someone mentioning in this thread that HBO was planning to cancel this after Season 3, is that true or a disgusting lie?
I recall someone mentioning in this thread that HBO was planning to cancel this after Season 3, is that true or a disgusting lie?
A disgusting lie. One of the producers said they're planning on making GoT for as long as GRRM keep making books.
Oh thank god.
