I'm loving Podrick's character, such a cool little guy.

Oh Gods, of course. But[sp]why do they need to be all gimped up? None of the musicians were ever harmed, unless the Greatjon got a turkey leg up there somehow. I know it's a shit thing to base it on, but if they change the Wedding too much, I may just give up. Cutting Queen Jeyne and the Reeds is already making me hesitant about HBO, and they are taking more control in the next few seasons.[/sp]
But the Reeds are in season 3 :/
And they're not looking for [sp]amputee cellists.[/sp]

[sp]They haven't cut Jeyne Westerling, they've just introduced a character to replace her. Not entirely sure why but I'm guessing it's because they wanted to expand on the relationship between Robb and her (whereas if they had followed the route of the book they wouldn't have the oppurtunity to do so).
As for the Reeds, they are being introduced next season! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpSDSgChsaI [/sp]
yeah they're looking for [sp]amputees[/sp] and [sp]cellists[/sp] not [sp]amputee cellists[/sp] lol
[sp] The legless stringists![/sp]
ASOS: [sp]My sources tell me they have been shooting a lot of fighting this week. Around 300 extras involved. Tents on fire, bodies being dragged by horses and decapitations. A dummy of Richard Madden was also spotted.[/sp]

i feel like that picture kinda confirms it for some reason. was reading up on the second picture you posted in your previous post and it seemed to me like they might've been just regular soldiers. what a shame. more book accurate ones were at dany's wedding in season 1

Aw, I always envisioned them like this;

Or maybe like this, whatever, they just don't look right to me;

It would make sense to cover them up though. Digitally duplicating faceless characters is much easier than creating a different face for each one.

Yeah I know, it's just one of those things that comes with reading a book series and forming image in your head, then having someone else come in and say this is the official image. I finally understand those Tolkein nerds who always complain about Peter Jackson's films.
well here they are in episode 1, with rounded helms it looks like. i want spiked ones though...

Tokars have become very practical, and he's not very fat. :v:
[sp]Still hoping that he speaks in Valyrian whilst Dany pretends she can't speak it, so that we get the whole translation deal.[/sp]

[sp]Actress playing Missandei said she had to learn Valyrian, so probably.[/sp]
yeah they're good with the languages even if they aren't so good with races / places
Some location settings they chose don't really feel fitting, imo.
I would've preferred King's Landing to be like this picture:(It's Tyrion in Kings Landing from the asoiaf wiki)

But instead what we got was some desert like city.
It's a southern European city, not a desert city lol
I think it fits really well the description of the first book.

Yeah, I always thought King's Landing was sorta tropical based on descriptions of how hot it is in the first book.
Yeah, I always thought King's Landing was sorta tropical based on descriptions of how hot it is in the first book.
It's stated to be hot (and stinks) but that's from Ned's point of view, so it could be pretty temperate, especially since Ned's shown to not even really like Catelyn's room in Winterfell, which is warmed by hot water pipes in the walls from the Winterfell hot springs.
Dorne is definitely hotter, and if Highgarden is supposedly very fertile, so we can take that as being temperate, and with KL north of Highgarden, it's likely cooler than Highgarden, so pretty warm but not boiling.
This is just with crude guesses due to latitude / longditude or whatever, so I'm not taking mountain cover into account and the like.
