Well, are you Dutch yourself? I talked with three other Dutch guys that saw the episode, and we all agree the accent sounded out of place (to us that is. I could see it sounding 'exotic' to others I guess).
Enough about the accent though. I enjoyed this episode. Watched it with my dad, who had the hardest time not spoiling anything since he read all the books already :v:.
Yes, I am, and I cringe at Dutch accents when non-Dutch don't hear them.
Before I knew the actress was Dutch I thought she was just speaking very mystic-y.
Saw the episode finally.
Fuck yeah, there needs to be a scene of Joffrey being slapped in every episode.
That's a weird way to handle that.
Damn, again with the[sp]scheduling conflics. He had some bro moments with Jorah last season. Going to miss him[/sp]
Game of Thrones won a Peabody award:
Peabody writeup: Adapted from dark-age fantasy books by George R.R. Martin, the series immerses viewers in a multilayered, distinctly imagined world of mysticism and earthiness, fidelity and deceit, wonder and mayhem.
Yeah, it is. I think [sp]Rakharo[/sp] was the one who died? He has a fairly large role in ADWD, they seem to be pulling this a lot in the season currently, not to sat it isn't amazing to watch.

Whoa whoa, put that / in man
Sorry dudes, didn't know how to spoiler tag, had to figure it out :(
I don't know how contracts and commitments work in the entertainment business, but I'm hoping that the majority of the cast and other recurring characters in Game of Thrones are committed long term with the series. If actors opt out of their contracts and have other projects they wish to pursue, it could really the alter the story in the television series.

Thrones is such a big hit, I think anyone who would throw a role in it away is... Well frankly, an idiot.
Stannis you lucky fucker
Thrones is such a big hit, I think anyone who would throw a role in it away is... Well frankly, an idiot.
From what I've heard you earn a lot less doing tv-series than movies as an actor.
yeah but it's like turning down a role in a pixar movie or something. do it because you love it (and probably because afterwards you can go off and do movies)
game of thrones makes me want to play mount and blade warband again.

it makes me want a game of thrones mod/map/factions.
Entering this thread on the Facepunch app that for some reason doesn't have spoiler tag's was a horrid decision.

There is a mod of it being made.
Quite a discrepancy between Robb's info on the fleet of the Iron Islands and the books stated values. The show had Robb saying it had 200 ships, when the Iron Fleet alone (the sort of fleet of the nation, lords would have their own fleets, too) is stated to consist of 300 longships in ADWD, by Victarion himself. So, Balon would easily have control of over 500 by my count...

I did the same thing this morning only to realise at the last possible second it would ruin my week.
One of my friends lent me the first season on DVD. Just watched the first episode and I can't wait to watch the rest.

Ugh. D&D are doing all sorts of things that can have problems down the road. With Osha talking about the wolfdreams with Bran [sp]There goes the f**king reed twins ugh[/sp]
I haven't watched Episode 2 yet but... [sp]In the books Osha talks about the wolf dreams to bran, and the Maester says she's a moron. Don't see how this will affect the Reeds.[/sp]
I literally just finished ADWD, don't click this spoiler unless you have as well, or don't care.
[sp]NO!, no, no, that's not allowed, he's my favourite, I REALLY liked him, why would Bowen do that?!, I mean, I can see why some of Jons decisions would upset him, and deserting was a bit out I guess, but come on, all he did was for the good of the watch, everyone but Jon seem to be complete fools...[/sp]

I guess $65 million or whatever wasn't enough to keep the [sp]reed twins.[/sp] Glad I'm reading the books now :/

They haven't been cast.
Currently talking to a guy who worked on GoT season 2 for 2 months, and he's spilling more information than he should :v:

... Reeds?
I wonder if perhaps they are moved to season 3.
No idea why they were cut. Probably because it would be too many characters to introduce during one season.
But if they do end up in the next season, what will they do in this one? Book spoiler: [sp]Have Bran and Hodor wander off on their own?[/sp]
Finished episode 2. I really dislike the Lannister's already.

I don't know the reasons as to why he [sp]leaves Winterfell[/sp] in the book, but I know [sp]Theon attacks Winterfell. Perhaps he leaves because of the attack and runs into the Reeds while running away?[/sp]
Also keep in mind that what happens at the end of S2 E2 didn't happen in the book, looks like perhaps things are changing more than in season 1...
