[sp]So they killed Eddard Stark and now I don't want to watch the show anymore.[/sp]
Wait til the TV series gets to the 2nd and 3rd books.

[sp]I find it pretty cool that boromir died, that makes show have more suprises and everyother tvshow has mainhero that never dies.[/sp]
[sp]I find it pretty cool that boromir died, that makes show have more suprises and everyother tvshow has mainhero that never dies.[/sp]
Season 1 spoiler: [sp]Eddard Stark is by no means the mainhero. Sean Bean just played the role so incredibly good that people think that he is the mainplayer, which is incorrect.[/sp]
Who is the mainhero then? I guess there are couple of those and I'd say they are dragon lady, dwarf and the guy who joined team black at wall.
There isn't a main protagonist, just a load of major characters.
There isn't a main protagonist, just a load of major characters.
This is, indeed, the case. In the books the chapters are named after the people who'll provide the point of view for that part of the book. People like Tyrion, Bran, Catelyn, Sansa, Jon, Daenerys, Eddard, etc.
There isn't a main protagonist, just a load of major characters.
If someone had to choose the main character for some reason though it's probably Jon out of all the books.
I wouldn't think so seeing ADWD, where Dany gets more attention than Jon. The ending to ADWD leaves me very interested, though.

I think their stories will be intertwined BOOK SPOILERS [sp] with him being half-targ and all, if the R+J thing is true, which is probably is[/sp]

I wanna click the spoilers, but I still haven't finished A Storm of Swords.
People need to start pointing out exactly which book is being spoiled. I wanna click the spoilers, but I still haven't finished A Storm of Swords.
Well he said he just finished AFFC so it would be wise to assume it contains info from that book.
Well he said he just finished AFFC so it would be wise to assume it contains info from that book.
That's a good point. I am not a clever man.
It's not hard to do and scanning the spoiler before the first couple words happens easily enough.
why doesn't Brian Blessed have a part in this yet
I should be getting the entire series next weekend from my sister-in-law. Can't wait. She's also bringing The Millennium series of books.
When will season 2 start?
When will season 2 start?
April first. No joke...
People need to start pointing out exactly which book is being spoiled. I wanna click the spoilers, but I still haven't finished A Storm of Swords.
It's actually a spoiler from the first 2 books and a little of ASOS.. it's never said, just subtle clues.
ASOS Spoiler:[sp]I'm loving this book, just like all the others, but the story i'm really enjoying atm is Arya's. It's so awesome that she gets stuck with the Hound, and now that he's free of what authority was against him i'm really looking forward to seeing what he does.[/sp]

Brienne looks amazing and I like how Arya looks so much like a boy now. I just hope Stannis looks more constipated in the show. [editline]9th February 2012[/editline] Also yeah spoiler policy from last thread should still apply. If it's a show spoiler say so, and if it's a book spoiler tell what book it's from.
The actor playing Davos looks more terrifying than Stannis :v:
Brienne has long hair in the books which I believe was described as pretty. I think it was a good decision making her hair short and ugly though as it really contributes to her overall look.
It's nice to see the new characters, but I'm still hoping for a preview of Roose Bolton!
The actor playing Davos looks more terrifying than Stannis :v:
It's funny because Davos is a humble sort of guy in the books. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline] Also, Bran's actor is looking much older than before. Will they try to film subsequent series closer together do you think? I heard ASOS is going to be in 2 parts filmed in one go. I can only imagine the kinds of trouble they're going to have merging AFFC and ADWD though, without focusing on too many characters...

So if they film one season per year there shouldn't be any problem. Minor A Feast For Crows spoiler: [sp]Arya was 9 years old in the first book, in this book it was mentioned she is 12. So that is 3 years /4 books.[/sp]
Love the stills! Brienne looks great
It all looks great, but in my mind Stannis and Davos should be switched. Also, Brienne reminds me of Joe from "Joe Goes".
Wait is Brienne the second picture? Damn I thought that she was a man. Well done.
