Crossover now please.
Isn't the iron throne supposed to be very uncomfortable?
So I went to Frodo's wiki and I found out something interesting.
Frodo is introduced in The Fellowship of the Ring as the adoptive heir of Bilbo Baggins. The chapter "A Long-expected Party" relates that Frodo's parents Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck had been killed in a boating accident when Frodo was 12
So I guess Frodo is a Dothraki.
wouldnt that make him a dothraki?
So I went to Frodo's wiki and I found out something interesting. So I guess Frodo is a Targaryen.
Quite well known that Khal Drogo was named after Frodo's dad. Same goes for House Jordayne of the Tor and Archmaester Rigney who are both references to Robert Jordan. (very obvious, as the maester claims time is a wheel :v:) There are a fair few more references, too.
wouldnt that make him a dothraki?
I was referencing the Stallion Who Mounts the World, but I'll edit it into Dothraki since that's more correct. [editline]18th May 2012[/editline] Also what does Valar Morghulis mean? That's the name of the tenth episode and many book readers are excited for it. I also hope we see more Stannis in the next episode.
Also what does Valar Morghulis mean? That's the name of the tenth episode and many book readers are excited for it. I also hope we see more Stannis in the next episode.
It means [sp]All men must die[/sp] in High Valyrian It has to do with [sp]Jaqen and Arya when Jaqen leaves. It also holds more importance later in the books and eventually the show.[/sp]
Just watched the first two episodes of the first season. As much as I'm really enjoying the show, does it pick up a bit more? It seems like a lot of build-up to something.
It's as good as it can ever get. You can see it from the very first episode, I at least saw it.

I also hope we see more Stannis in the next episode.
To add another Lord of the Rings comparison: in the Middle-Earth mythos, the Valar (singular Vala) are Ainur (gods) that chose to leave the comfort of the All-Father's realm to rule over Creation as gods. Notable Valar include Manwe, Melkor, and Ulmo.
Even though the meaning has literally nothing to to do with LOTR and its just some made up language anyway.
Wasn't J.R.R.Tolkien a master of linguistics and spent ages on his languages. Pretty sure that raises it above 'just some made up language'
It means [sp]All men must die[/sp] in High Valyrian
If i remember right valar dohaeris is something you reply after which means [sp] all men must serve, or first they serve [/sp] ...i think, i don't think it was ever confirmed in the books

i dont give a fuck if this is late bitch
wtf twyin D:
Ygritte's not actually supposed to be good looking as such, she's supposed to have a pug nose (kind of flat) along with dodgy teeth, the book describes her as totally average. (book 3) [sp]though Jon finds it pretty attractive[/sp]. Also, watched the latest episode, and whilst I like Jaime even more than I did from the books, I don't think that Tywin's as good as he could be. Sure he's a bro, but (tv series)[sp]he's already discovered that Arya's from the north, and he found out that she's highborn, it doesn't take a fucking genius to figure out that she's probably someone who'd make a useful hostage and that it'd be worth it to interrogate her and figure out who she is. Tywin's not supposed to be stupid, he's supposed to be ruthlessly practical.[/sp]
[sp]Its because Tywin likes her. He perfectly well knows that shes a noblewoman but since he likes her and she is actually doing a good job, why waste a good cupbearer and get all up in her business. They already have Sansa. [/sp]
Was such a good death too. Not for him of course, but satisfying to watch
Yeah and [sp] that golden clink when his head hits the floor [/sp]
I was looking at barristan's wiki page and it said he had larger role in both book 1 and book 2 after his [sp]dismissal[/sp]. I hope they didnt just cut his character because we havent seen or heard anything of him since then.

i reckon we'll see him in episode 10
Need more Tywin merchandise, I'd love to have a poster in my room with that chap's smug smile
I just finished the part in ASOS (MAJOR SPOILERS): [sp]Red Wedding[/sp] Damn you George, damn you!
I wish that Renly asked about Barristan like he did in the books, it'd at least somewhat confirm that he's [sp]coming back[/sp]
[sp]Did anybody notice if there was anybody playing the lute in Season 1 - Episode 1 during the feast? I'm looking for Mance Rayder if they were clever and did that[/sp]

I'm not sure I can continue to watch this. I'm only 2 episodes in and it's a good show but god dammit NOTHING GOOD HAS HAPPENED. I'm mostly just upset about the poor puppies. ;_; Also I hope Joffrey gets ass-raped in hell. By Satan. Never have I wished for the death of a child so much.
"A Golden Crown" was one of the most entertaining episodes of any show I've ever seen. Damn, this show is amazing. [sp] I have my suspicions about Sean Bean here, though. He dies in everything he's in excluding the Sharpe movies and Silent Hill, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had him killed off by the end of the season. [/sp]
Don't be silly, how could they ever do something like that, it would be insanity!
He's clearly untouchable, I'll stop watching it if he dies
Jesus fuck almost nobody in this show is likable.
