I don't think Jaime acknowledges how good Loras is at this point so I would remove him from the list. Perhaps Sandor or Oberyn?
Then again that could just be a number he pulled out of his ass for no reason. Too bad Arthur Dayne is dead or he'd be on the list.
He doesn't view Loras as someone who could beat him. Selmy and Gregor are definite, and I imagine that the third is either Sandor or the Greatjon, or maybe the Red Viper, though I doubt it's him.
Ninja'd.
I'd also imagine that Victarion Greyjoy could give him a run for his money, though Jaime's never even seen Victarion afaik.
Book 3 spoilers:[sp]The Red Viper kinda killed the Mountain. He just fucked up by getting too close in the end. If he had just stayed out of reach he'd been fine.[/sp]
So I'd say Selmy, Gregor and The Red Viper.
[editline]29th May 2012[/editline]
Someone on some dodgy forum seems to think those three would be Robb Stark, Jon Snow and Loras Tyrell.

In the Novels its Sandor Clegane, Loras Tyrell, Robb Stark, and later on [sp]Brienne[/sp].

My main issue with saying the Red Viper is that Oberyn isn't really someone that Jaime would pay attention to or care about, as he's down in Dorne, out of mind and he fights with a spear, when Jaime only really cares for the sword.
He knows for a fact that Robb's passable, but not exceptional at fighting (Jon explicitly states that he's better with a sword and horse in book one to give you an idea) and wouldn't consider Jon Snow anywhere near as good as himself as he wouldn't pay attention to a bastard who lives half a continent away, and Jon's nothing special anyway.
It's also certain that he's not calling Loras better than him, as he is disdainful of Loras and thinks of him as all flamboyance, no substance.
Yeah, his opinion changes later in the novels (which is where I pulled the Greatjon's skill from), but that's in the future, whilst this is as of season 2.
I think its Hodor, maester pycell, and Samwell Tully

It's not. Robb, for one, doesn't stand half a chance. Jaime doesn't acknowledge Loras as good yet.
The only one that might fit is Sandor.
Book 3 spoilers:[sp]Brienne only didn't lose to Jaime because the latter was in chains and severely weakened.[/sp]

That still leaves Selmy, Gregor and possible Sandor.
But honestly I think Hodor would be stronger than The Mountain. Give Hodor a two hander or an axe and he will kill everything.

Hodor is strong but the Mountain is stronger. Way stronger.

Well he got Zerg Rushed by Robb and a bunch of northern knights. But thats true. And he does admit that [sp]Brienne[/sp] is an extremely talented swordswoman.
And I think Sandor beat him in a tourney once.
Hodor is strong but the Mountain is stronger. Way stronger.
But is the mountain half giant?
We really don't know Hodor's capabilities though. All we've seen him do is carry around a crippled child.

Book 3 onwards [sp]Brienne thinks in one of her PoVs that he was the toughest fights that she'd ever had, and that she'd certainly have lost, but Jaime thinks in one of his PoVs that he actually couldn't have beaten her, even if he was at full strength.[/sp]

Which strikes me as odd. (Book 3:[sp]One of her toughest fights was against a chained and severely weakened Jaime.[/sp]
Besides, I don't recall Jaime thinking such a thing. But that could be me.

The Mountain is actually taller than Hodor. Where Hodor is seven feet tall Gregor is "close to eight feet tall".
The Mountain is a trained fighter who wields a Greatsword without much trouble. Hodor just isn't stronger.
Jon Arryn played the game of thrones wrong
Thus Gamemaester Pycelle had to interfere
Barristan Selmy is DEFINITELY, without a doubt one of the three.
Amongst the living, Greatjon Umber was stronger, Strongboar of Crakehall most likely, both Cleganes for a certainty. The Mountain's strength was like nothing human.
It did not matter. With speed and skill, Jaime could beat them all.
Major ASoS spoiler.
[sp]It was actually Lysa under Littlefinger's direction, Pycell might not have helped him, but Lysa killed him.[/sp]
Ok, my predictions for the season finale. Book 2 and 3 spoilers:
[sp]- Dany enters the House of the Undying. Shit goes down. Wouldn't be surprised if one of her dragons kill Pyat Pree. Don't think we'll see Barristan and that fat guy I can't remember the name of.
- Jon kills Qhorin, as in the book. Might see some giants, as hinted by D&D in an interview with Empire Magazine.
- Tyrion wakes up after the battle. Joffrey hand out rewards. Tywin get's all the credit.
- Arya is given the coin. Jaqen asks her to come with him and she says no because blabla. Jaqen transforms (I believe this was confirmed in an interview a while back).
- Brienne and Jaime stumble upon the Bloody Mummers. Brienne kills a few of them. She and Jaime are captured. Then introduce Vargo Hoat in season 3.
- Robb, I don't know. Still pissed at Catelyn. Talisa reveals herself to be Jeyne Westerling or a Lannister spy or something like that. They want to get married(?).
- Ramsay and his troops arrive outside Winterfell (but we don't get to see him as the character isn't cast yet). Theon rallies his men, gives a speech to prepare them for battle. Ramsay's troops might attack, and if that is so, Luwin will definitely get wounded. Bran & company finds him. Luwin tells them to head for the wall, then he dies.
- Last scene, as confirmed by the soundtrack, will be the three blasts. Have one of the characters (Mormont/Sam) say "White Walkers", cut to black (or show the white walkers in the distance).[/sp]
Speculation time, go!

Ramsay hasn't been cast yet, Theon's story will last a little longer, I think.

A little early, I think.

The rest Is near certain.

it is out of focus. i think it is [sp]robb's men / karstarks[/sp] that have come after them, not [sp]bloody mummers[/sp]
[sp]Yeah, they evade them, then they have a fight, and THEN the bloody mummers take them.[/sp]
[sp]I think Barristan and Jon Connington (I think) would be WAAAAAY too early. That is like when Dany actually starts conquering shit and Tyrion goes to Essos. Thats prolly extremely late season 3 or even season 4 [/sp]
[sp]Barristan Selmy becomes King of the 7 Kingdoms[/sp]
[sp]I don't think he was ordered to do that. Previously on the show he appeared as a pretty aggressive guy and showed hatred towards Tyrion. I think he simply saw opportunity to kill Tyrion for own personal revenge and later blame it on Stannis' troops.[/sp]
No, Ser Mandon was blatantly ordered to do it. Jaime once told Tyrion that he was the most dangerous member of the Kingsguard (Behind Jaime himself, of course) because you could never tell what he was thinking, his face was always totally blank. It's mentioned a few times in the books, and Cersei is blatantly looking for a way to get rid of Tyrion all the time.
No, oh my god no my favourite character died
fuck this show
Who died again?
Haha you're stupid.
Why does everybody think a cut to the face will kill somebody.
I think it's because of the way he sorta passed out from it.
anyway, it's too bad that [sp]sandor deserted. if he had stayed just a while longer he would have witnessed the victory[/sp]

i really don't think he cared about the victory after telling the king to go fuck himself to his face
i really don't think he cared about the victory after telling the king to go fuck himself to his face
I think we would have another "All hail the king!" moment afterwards if he didn't escape.
