This was definitely the best episode of the season, by far. I'm so happy to see the last few episodes were lackluster because they were saving their budget to blow it all on this one. The wildfire in the bay was fucking amazing, and it packed more awesome fights and kills than the whole season. Tyrion is definitely becoming the badass that he's always been in the books.
i have to know , i can't wait till the next episode to find out about Tyrion [sp] IS HE DEAD? [/sp]
i have to know , i can't wait till the next episode to find out about Tyrion [sp] IS HE DEAD? [/sp]
[sp]He isn't dead, but he is definitely half the man he used to be.[/sp] Edit: [sp]I mean in terms of stature. He's fine just a nasty scar on his face, and no recognition for his hard work.[/sp]
I'm probably going to end up reading the books between this season's last episode and when season 3 airs.
Honestly I'm surprised people are still getting spoiled at this point. I mean its pretty apparent that pretty much everyone in Game of Thrones WILL die at one point (unless HBO cancels it when it gets even better) as lampshaded by Arya in that scene with Twyin. On a related note I downloaded that Game of Thrones mod for Crusader Kings 2 and fuck me how did Robert do it? It starts when Ned's sister gets kidnapped and from the very start your getting fucked on three fronts with the Starks nowhere to be seen. Plus I managed to get Stannis killed within the first 2 minutes.
Considering this thread is fairly spoiler heavy, please allow me to show you how to tag a spoiler correctly DO NOT do this: Hey guys didn't you just hate it when [sp]Ned died[/sp] PLEASE do this: Hey guys didn't you just hate it when [sp]Ned died[/sp] (season 1 ep 9) Or Hey guys didn't you just hate it when at the end of season 1 [sp]Ned died[/sp] I know it looks clunky and is annoying, but it is sooooo much better in the long run.

Still Game of Thrones related I guess...
I...uh...what?
The Iron Throne. Yeah that's, like, super related.
so i was reading about the song The Rains of Castamere and i found out tha Big Spoiler [sp]Robb dies.[/sp]fuck
This hurts.
I nearly shed a tear, listening to the rains of Castamere... Mid book 3 spoiler: [sp] Listening to it I imagine how that particular scene will look like, chaos as this song is sung, Frey sitting back in his throne and Robb slowly dropping to his knees, as Cat stands there watching and a Wolf howling in the background. Like someone mentioned, if they pull it off right it will probably be the saddest, and best scene in entire movie/TV history. [/sp]
so i was reading about the song The Rains of Castamere and i found out tha Big Spoiler [sp]Robb dies.[/sp]fuck
why did i click that someone hold me
Well call me slow but I just now realised why the hound [sp] pussies out outside the gates when he sees fire everywhere [/sp] you just need to have a good look at his face :v:
why did i click that someone hold me
Don't worry, [sp]STOP CLICKING ON SPOILER TAGS THAT DO NOT SPECIFY WHAT THEY SPOIL YOU IDIOT[/sp].
We need to fix our spoiler system, we need something like the GoT Subreddit, like [ASOS Spoiler] before your spoiler or [S2E9 Spoiler] just to make it more sepcific, I've clicked waaay too many books spoilers now
Bannable offence for not indicating which book seems like it would work, but It's really up to the mods.

Problem is, half of us actually do it, and the other half just say fuck it and leave their spoilers vague.

I still don't get why we are posting book spoilers in a thread about the TV series, seems like it'd make more sense if we kept this thread for discussing the TV series and another thread for the books perhaps.
I still don't get why we are posting book spoilers in a thread about the TV series, seems like it'd make more sense if we kept this thread for discussing the TV series and another thread for the books perhaps.
Except they're intrinsically linked, so no. All people need to do is put a warning next to their spoiler indicating the book.
I still don't get why we are posting book spoilers in a thread about the TV series, seems like it'd make more sense if we kept this thread for discussing the TV series and another thread for the books perhaps.
Just a shame most of us dont have the patience to wait a year for the next season (or even a week for the next episode) so we get somebody who's read the books to tell us what happens.
Just a shame most of us dont have the patience to wait a year for the next season so we get somebody who's read the books to tell us what happens.
Or you could just, oh I don't know, read the books maybe?

I'm not lashing against people with spoilers, but could you please state clearly what spoiler it is for? Some of us actually want to just discuss the series.
Or you could just, oh I don't know, read the books maybe?
Read? Hah, not in my book.
Read? Hah, not in my book.
Good luck avoiding spoilers for the next 6 years.
Good luck avoiding spoilers for the next 6 years.
It was a joke. I have read through the first book but I stopped when season 2 started. I'll probably pick up where I left off when this season is finished.
I still find it funny that we're having to avoid posting spoilers for a book that came out 14 years ago Seriously, this is like spoiler-tagging that [sp]Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father[/sp]
