Pretty nice series, grabbed my interest from the 1st episode. I will keep watching.
Hi Game of Thrones thread. Started watching GoT a few weeks ago, on S2EP3 now, I'm starting to feel quite panicky that soon the series will be over and I'll have to wait a year. Either way though I'm absolutely loving it so far, probably as much as saying it's one of the best series I've ever watched. [editline].[/editline] I'll probably read the books once I finish season 2. Seems like the best thing to do when I've got to wait a year for another season.

(book 5)[sp]Well, he's still alive in book 5. [/sp] Won't say more for risks of accidently spoiling anything for anyone.
books 2 through book 5 spoilers about above [sp]he's not really mentioned in books 3 and 4 / has no chapters[/sp]
Every time I see spoiler tags, my mouse starts moving towards it by itself, WHYYYY
books 2 through book 5 spoilers about above [sp]he's not really mentioned in books 3 and 4 / has no chapters[/sp]
(spoilers for Greyjoy)[sp]So that means we have to wait till season 4-5 till his story arc finishes? Or I'lld imagine they would mix it into season 3 like they did with books 2 and 3. I just hope Arya and Tyrion+Tywin gets more scenes. [/sp]

Pages upon pages of spoilers is getting annoying, think I'm just gonna read the books so I can partake in the discussions. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] Fun story, I had to pick a book to read for some year in school, can't remember but it was like 5 years ago. I was and still am very anti-reading, I find it really boring compared to other mediums. That's not to say I dismiss all books out of hand for that reason, I have read some books and some that I really enjoyed but I find it difficult to read for more than an hour at a time because there's so much stuff I wanna do which usually means it takes me weeks to read a book which makes me very hesitant to pick up reading anything because I know it's gonna be a giant time-sink. Oh my, that spired off into a mini-rant didn't it, anyways the fun story was that I was presented with a song of ice and fire and I was like "pfft, what is this gay shit?" and picked a book with a pretty lady and a dragon or some shit like that on the cover. I don't even remember what it was about. Kinda wishing I wasn't such a dumbfuck back then.
Pages upon pages of spoilers is getting annoying, think I'm just gonna read the books so I can partake in the discussions.
Good choice. As good as the show is, if you don't read the books you're missing a good 40% of the world's history & detail.
well i was kinda interested to what happens to theon since i havent read adwd and i probably wont have time to anytime soon, so i just searched on google i dont really feel bad for him, he kinda got himself into that mess
[sp] Renly, Courtney Penrose..[/sp]
about renly... book 3 stuff [sp]it kind of seems like stannis didn't know what killed him / regretted it a ton[/sp] even then it was a joke, [sp]something always happens to the people he says he's going to execute (NOT ASSASSINATE WITH A SHADOW BABY). perhaps stannis saying he wants to kill someone is a bit like oranges in the godfather, except instead of foreshadowing death it says the character will live[/sp]
Will this fight for the throne and stuff get done in Season 2? Or will it drag into Season 3 as well.
Will this fight for the throne and stuff get done in Season 2? Or will it drag into Season 3 as well.
Non-specific spoilers [sp]no to both[/sp]
Will this fight for the throne and stuff get done in Season 2? Or will it drag into Season 3 as well.
if the war ended the story would kind of too... the series seems to be about the war(s) over the iron throne that happen as a result of king robert dying (if you consider the first book to be a prequel)
Non-specific spoilers [sp]no to both[/sp]
Hmm, interesting. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] Who the fuck is that red headed witch bitch. She's not fucking human. [sp]What the fuck did she gave birth to? Aaaaaaah[/sp]
OK, I watched season 1, then read book 1, then started watching season 2, after 4 episodes I finished reading book 2, and about 3/4 of book 3. And watched season 1-2 with my cousin. I nearly had to force him to watch first and 2nd episode but I got him hooked, after next episode he will start reading the books too, lucky for him I already have all the books waiting for him here. :V
I wish I had the patience to read books :v: The show is absolutely amazing, no doubt that books are too. I'd probably rip a page up in anger though. Just now I was poking my monitor with a toothpick at that faggot Jeoffrey.

Do you have the patience to wait 7+ years for the season to finish, waiting a YEAR for each? :P

I read Lord of the Rings, I got sucked into that one. I usually don't like reading books, but certain ones I really get into.
Just now I was poking my monitor with a toothpick at that faggot Jeoffrey.
Did you stick him with the pointy end? :-D
Did you stick him with the pointy end? :-D
With both pointy ends. I was dual wielding.
