Do we still need to tag this stuff? [sp]She, like everybody else who wasn't braindead, realized that the city would likely fall to Stannis, and Stannis was, in her mind, more likely to keep her safe and send her back to the North instead as a ransom instead of the Lannisters keeping her for Joffrey. Besides, the Hound is hardly what I would call, in that moment, someone she'd trust, especially considering getting out of the city would be a bitch.[/sp]
[sp]Yeah I don't really trust him either, although, if he was honest, there is no one better to get you out of the city and to the North than the beast called Hound :v:[/sp]
Just watched the Season 2 finale. [sp]I thought it was quite an outrage when Tyrion got jack shit after he had defended King's Landing, i thought he would have been crowned king, in case Joffrey would have died, but oh well[/sp]
[sp]Don't you remember how the smallfolk called him a monkey demon etc? No matter how much he'd do for them, they'd hate him due to his appearance.[/sp]
Book readers, did this guy survive or what? I guess Season 1 spoiler, [sp]Last I remember of him, he was left with the hilt of a wooden sword (why wouldn't he just pick up a sword from the fallen soldiers btw).[/sp]
The Kingsguard you see during that scene is also seen later on, so if he survived I wonder who didn't... [editline]6th June 2012[/editline] Meryn Trant is his name.
http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Syrio_Forel it actually states here on the wiki that he dies
http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Syrio_Forel it actually states here on the wiki that he dies
It's just the presumed date of death. (book 4) [sp]It says Catelyn Stark died too in her article.[/sp]
Book 3 spoilers [sp] You know how the CG for Tyrion's nose is too expensive, how are they going to do Jaime's hand? give him long sleeves the entire rest of the series?[/sp]
[sp]Don't you remember how the smallfolk called him a monkey demon etc? No matter how much he'd do for them, they'd hate him due to his appearance.[/sp]
[sp]But i thought that was just because he was royal blood like Joffrey and Cersei, you'd expect that him saving their lives would excuse a bit of prejudice.[/sp]
Hah, I realised there was a shot in some of the Season 2 trailers of one of the decks of Stannis' ships exploding. But without the wildfire green colouring. Sneaky HBO.
[sp]But i thought that was just because he was royal blood like Joffrey and Cersei, you'd expect that him saving their lives would excuse a bit of prejudice.[/sp]
Sweet summer child... (I'll tag it, as it's vaguely s2 ep10 related) [sp]Persecution against dwarves, just like sexism and racism, is prevalent with everyone, in addition to the fact that the smallfok resent him being regarded as higher on the social ladder than them.[/sp]
[sp]But i thought that was just because he was royal blood like Joffrey and Cersei, you'd expect that him saving their lives would excuse a bit of prejudice.[/sp]
People are stupid and vain.
Book 3 spoilers [sp] You know how the CG for Tyrion's nose is too expensive, how are they going to do Jaime's hand? give him long sleeves the entire rest of the series?[/sp]
You don't need CG to do that. Simple movie tricks that have been around for decades can replicate that. However the other thing about the face thing is correct.
My Nights Watch Oath mug arrived today :D drinking tea has never felt so honourable
So if you drop the mug you can be executed as an oathbreaker. Be extra careful with that one.

I also doubt Trant would wanna tell anyone about losing a fight against one man with a broken wooden sword. Still, I don't want to get my hopes up.
I'll bet you all a pack a crisps that Syrio is dead. I don't like it but I'm sure as hell he is.
Sucks 'cause the child in me wants Arya to find him and give him a certain currency, he is from Bravos right?
Sucks 'cause the child in me wants Arya to find him and give him a certain currency, he is from Bravos right?
He is.
I actually can't take Xaro seriously anymore in any of his scenes knowing he's full of shit.
So much happened in the last episode, so much awesome! [sp]the "undying" warlock prick killed by dragon fire FUCK YES, and an army of frost demons FUCK YES[/sp]
The amount of treason and backstabbing in Game of Thrones is insane. There is someone betraying and backstabbing someone in like every episode >.<
I've always wondered what people think to this show without having read the books? GRRM has said over and over again that the show and the books are a "different beast" but I find it very hard to not look at it from the viewpoint of someone who hasn't read the bookseries through twice :v:. my parents have been watching it but they have to pause it every five minutes so I can remind them who Stannis is again so no help there.
i remember on the hbo website (dunno if its still there) that the character description of trant said that he killed syrio
Joffrey might be a complete and utter cunt, but he's easily my favorite character on the show simply because I can't think of one scene that he's in where things drag on and on.
King Joffery: never a dull moment
Season 2 finale question [sp] what's the name of the guy that knocked Theon across the head in the Winterfell courtyard?[/sp]
I really hated the House of the Undying scene, they didn't include ANY of the visions from the books and didn't even include the betrayal prophecy, which is a pretty fucking big thing for Daeny's plot in the later books. Also no [sp] Barristan/Strong Belwas [/sp] (Book 2/3 spoilers). Infact, they've just completely fucked up the Daeny subplot of the show. I really liked the Brienne/Jaime scene, it was exactly how it went in the books and that's cool with me. The final scene was perfect, the three horn blasts sent chills down my spine. [sp] I really hope the Other that looks at Sam is the same one he kills in the next series [/sp] (Book 3 spoiler) [editline]7th June 2012[/editline]
Season 2 finale question [sp] what's the name of the guy that knocked Theon across the head in the Winterfell courtyard?[/sp]
Dagmer Cleftjaw
umm book 2/ 3 spoilers [sp]barristan shows up when they buy their boat, so he can still show up. i hope they get the same actor[/sp]
Yeah, but [sp] it would have been nice to see him rather than seeing Daeny basically kill a character that later becomes kind of important [/sp]
Just watched Season 2 finale. [sp]Doreah and Xaro are locked in a vault, where they will starve, yet in the books, Xaro is alive past that wtf? Also, who was the White Walker guy on the horse?[/sp]
Also, who was the White Walker guy on the horse?
I don't think we need to spoiler TV episodes now, enough time has passed. He's just a random White Walker, they don't have ranks, they all have dominion over the wights.
