what's there even to really discuss here for non-book readers between seasons until development videos/teasers start popping up
I am inclined to agree.

Because Beric is such a gentleman

Seems a waste of ASOS[sp]his life[/sp] though.

I fucking love the chapter switches from Sansa to Arya in SoS
You go from a court filled with pompous and posh people (especially when the Tyrells get there) to a down to earth, peasant, ruined world within a page switch.

Edit:
Left to right: Joe Dempsie, Michelle Fairley, Gwendoline Christie, Rose Leslie, Philip McGinley and Mackenzie Crook.
So that one-eyed pirate from POTC is gonna be in it.
Interesting.
Two friends of mine made me watch one episode. Episode 6 of season 1 I think [sp]the one with the molten gold poured on that guy's face[/sp].
Was pretty fun, but the length of the episodes is kinda discouraging me.
If you don't have the patience to watch one episode, then don't bother.
You need an attention span.

So is The Walking Dead but I'll be fucked if I miss out on 2 fun shows because of that.

Damn, Gwendoline Christie is HUGE
Its only an hour.
If you can't sit still for an hour then you're fucked for TV, movies, pretty much anything.
So I'm in the middle of reading the first book.
Should I watch the first season after reading the first book, or should I finish the whole series first?
It's so weird seeing the cast in their, well, normal clothes :v:
If I were them I'd ask to walk around in my set clothes, especially if it was heavy armour, I'd be calling people ser all day long :v:

Didn't Sean Bean dress up in full costume and go hiking mountains in the filming for Lord of the Rings because he was terrified of helicopters or something?

Okay Gwendoline, got no beef with you. Brienne? Cool character. I mean, she puts up with Jaime's bullshit, that's worth some sort of medal. But uh, did you really have to stand in front of Rose Leslie of all people?

It's not about attention span, if I was able to watch the entire lord of the rings series in a single setting without pausing or doing something else, I won't have an issue watching this, but I generally prefer series to have shorter episodes. I just enjoy them more that way.
That and if I start watching a single episode I will probably just end up watching the entire series :v:

Game of Thrones has numerous story arcs to run through in different places. Story arcs that won't work very well in, say, a 30 minute episode.

It would be absolutely impossible to convey the story if the episodes were any shorter.
I know I never said it would. I just said that I generally prefer series with shorter episodes, not that this particular series should fit this requirement.
(also as far as I know the series is not aired on any free French tv channel so I'm kinda getting them in an alternative way and it's kinda going to take up to a week :v:)
It would be absolutely impossible to convey the story if the episodes were any shorter.
And even then it misses out on really important events in the books.
However its ridiculous that they had a 10 minute softcore porn scene but cuts out Jon talking with Halfhand. Also everything to do with Rob in season 2 was really cringe-worthy.
So we might have a mance/ramsay
So we might have a mance/ramsay
We WILL have Mance, there's no way he could be cut and the plot wouldn't be completely fucked up. He's even been mentioned in the show.
Ramsay is a strong possibility.

I think he was referring to one of the new guys in the picture up there.

Can't imagine him as Mance or Ramasy.
I'm thinking he'll either play The Goat (can't remember his name though, he had a lisp) or the replacement for the tickler
EDIT: On second thoughts he could be part of The Brotherhood.
The Tickler was killed in the show
[editline]5th July 2012[/editline]
oh wait I'm dumb why do I never realize what the posts are trying to say
I could see him pulling off Thoros
Qyburn?
I don't doubt his skills as an actor at all, he could probably surprise us and be a great Mance or something. I'm eager to find out, hope it's relatively big
It's probably a quite big role considering the actors has been in some big movies and shows (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Office).
