Avoiding meat for dietary concerns is logical and I respect that. Avoiding meat because of things like "it's wrong" and "animals have feelings" is not logical. Nope I'd rather them sit and complain rather than affect MY meat eating but getting off their asses.
No I meant the meat in a vat.
The Vat-Meat grows in the same fashion as crystals though, that's why he compared them...

Except for the fact that people who do it for ethical reasons don't all whine. It's just the loudest ones are the whiney ones. It's not chldish at all so long as they don't complain and whine. Why should you care if they chose to not eat meat because they think it's wrong, it doesn't affect you in any way.
What the hell guys? I'm vegetarian.. you guys have no ideas what you are talking about.
It's not ''normal'' to eat animals, it's LIFE.
I have nothing against you guys but this.. this is over the line.
Just because they have a low intelligence doesn't mean that we should eat them, it's not hard to live as a vegetarian.. it's easy actually.
But i guess you guys can't live without your ''burgers''.
Not really, by choosing not to eat (by which I mean you), is solving nothing.
You're not making an impact and your not spreading the word right at all, arguing over an internet forum isn't going to make anyone else become a vegetarian.
Basically get off your high-horse.
I'm effectively a carnivore except for breads and the like, I eat my meat as well cooked and as often as I possibly can and fucking relish it.
My high horse? What horse, I fucking ate it years ago and came back to split the bones for their marrow asshat.

I agree, but I would just like to let you know that the haters will be in here within the minute, thinking that you saying this is exactly the same as being activist about it like PETA.
Though you can't say it's not normal to eat animals, considering most people and animals do it anyway; you can't really define "normal".
EDIT: Never mind you are being activist about it. :byewhore:

he said it's not normal to eat animals.
I'm sorry he's fucking moronic and any valid points are made void by that fucking idiotic statement. I seriously hope he's trolling, because apparently I eat meat because I can't be without my burgers, what the fuck? I eat meat for the proteins and nutrients.

Uhm, sorry dude but i'm not a troll.
You do know that those ''proteins and nutrients'' aren't only in meat?
You could eat something else that has proteins and nutrients.

but I like meat, it's natural for me as an omnivore to eat it, and it's the most logical and direct method of obtaining said nutrients. Send a vegitarian out into the wilds with me, he wouldn't last a week, I'd still be going strong.
I like how you dodged the fact that you said it's not natural to eat animals.
Either side saying one way isn't 'natural' should be aware that that is the dumbest argument possible when it comes to this; computers and clothes aren't natural but we're still using them.

It's usually quite difficult to get the proteins and some nutrients as well as you would if you ate meat as well as veg, for example Iron, can be difficult to achieve the same amount through vegetables and fruits.
Also see your front teeth? Do you know why you have sharp points on your canines? It's because they are built for gripping flesh so you can use your muscles to rip flesh
Also your pre molars are built for slicing meat, the only teeth you have that are for grinding plant material are your molars, most of your teeth are for meat eating.

but humans are built to be omnivorous, hence the canine teeth.
So, earlier the other day, while reading Gibson's Neuromancer, I came across the phrase "vat-grown meat". It's meat that has been artificially grown, identical in nature to real meat.
If you are a vegan/vegetarian, would you object to eating such meat?
Fuck that shit I want beef in it's purest form. I want my cows slaughtered and prepared infront of me so I know that it's fresh.
If a vegetarians issue was the immoral treatment of animals that are being slaughtered, would that vegetarian be okay with hunting and gathering his own meat, Nugent-style?
but humans are built to be omnivorous, hence the canine teeth.
That isn't the point. Saying you shouldn't do something (not eat meat) because it's unnatural isn't a good argument. I could use the same logic to tell you to stop using computers.

but the invention of computers, and clothing, and weapons, all sprouts from human nature. The survival instinct that tells us we need to be stronger, faster and smarter. Vegetarianism is technically moving backwards, as it asks us to be a more submissive race. It's harder to survive on a veggie diet
Besides none of the omnivores here are arguing that, it's only that stupid fuck veggie that decides to make vegetarians look bad.

But we created computers, that makes them natural.
There is no such thing as a natural or unnatural act and there never will be until someone gives themselves a prolapse so bad they turn themselves inside out, live to tell the tale and decide to live their lives inside out, and experience no ill effects due to it.
That my friend, is an unnatural act, inventing and using a computer is not.

Bahahahahahahaha. That is one of the most moronic statements ever. We're omnivores.

I wouldn't call it harder to survive. In the wild, sure, but in today's world where we can just buy whatever we want at the shop it isn't all that hard.

Agree, I just wish people would be tolerant of other people's dietary choices. It would be fine if that guy come in saying why he's a veggie, saying that he thinks meat is murder etc. But trying to force this on others is going too far.
Although generally these threads are full of intolerant omnivores who post massive pictures of bacon on the grill to mock vegetarians, and then flame anyone who complains for being PETAish about their beliefs even thought they're not.
But we created computers, that makes them natural.

I know, I was just saying an equally incorrect statement to back up the fact that neither eating meat or not eating it is unnatural.
I guess what I was trying to say is, That guy is literally the pot calling the kettle black. And also there's never been a vegetarian who's been able to get stronger than a man who is doing the same routine, but on an omnivorous diet.
That's why I eat meat. Warrior spirit.
I respect vegetarians fully.
Hell I'm glad they exist, I love some of their vegetarian alternatives.
I used to be vegetarian for nearly 10 years until I said fuck it and started eating meat again.

Did you take into account genetics, balance of the diets, muscle development, and all the other factors that influence strength?
Do you have any evidence for your claim?

nothing concrete, but as a fitness fanatic I study a lot of various fighters/bodybuilders/athletes diets. I've never seen one use a vegetarian diet. I mean it's logical really, meat is the single best method of obtaining nutrients that contribute to muscle growth.

You think vegetarianism is moving us backwards?
If anything, it's helping us adapt to our industrialized society. It takes a lot more energy to produce meat than it does for a equivalent amount of non-meat food so its far more sustainable. It does not "ask us to be a more submissive race."
If we stopped eating meat, we would no longer be Apex Predators. That would be a step backwards for our races dominance
[editline]09:12PM[/editline]
we would no longer be predators full stop really, unless we still killed animals for leather and fur and by-products

What species on earth could challenge us?
We have the ability to literally scorch and glass entire continents if we put our mind to it, and you think we would somehow lose our dominance?

You're extending your anecdotal data to back up the claim that vegetarians are universally inferior when it comes to strength.
Sure meat is popular in the fighter/bodybuilders/athlete group but that doesn't make it either necessary nor the best.
I don't understand vegetarians. They don't eat fish -> fish can't feel pain -> plants are basically the same -> eating fish is the same as eating plants -> vegetarians and vegans are hypocrites
I did make a deal with a vegetarian though; once every lion stops eating meat and only eating plants, then I will become one of those lettuce-munchers
you will become a rabbit? or a guniea pig? i cant imagine what a lettuce muncher looks like. :ohdear:
