i guess everyone is completely ignoring that somehow north korea took over or joined (wat) the south without any outside involvement once so ever.
At this point, I think everyone's replacing "North Korea" with China. It kinda makes more sense than way.
This actually looks really cool.
They have animations for detaching/attaching attachments for weapons. Neat. And I can see the "revolution points" working great with the less linear gameplay.
oh my god coop
Wow, I'm actually kinda interested now.
This surprisingly doesn't look bad, Door Kicking Simulator 2015 it might just not be.
I like how they also made the weapons look salvaged.
Who gives a fuck if it's impossible North Korea could invade anyone? I'm pretty tired of every game's enemy being China, Russia, or the Middle East. At least with North Korea, the game gets a little bit of the oppressive regime and cult of personality flavor unlike COMMUNISM STRONK RUSSIA AND CHINA STOMP AMERICA that's been done a hundred times.
There doesn't even have to be any suspension of disbelief. This isn't a realistic world scenario simulator.
Yeah I see the game keeps close to its roots with 1-minute night/day transitions.
Reminds me of Freedom Fighters, heck they should do a nice sequel to this game.
Feels like city 17 with a North Korean twist, looking forward to this.
when this comes out someone should try and mod it, replace all the KPA stuff with the Combine
Why the hell did they put a massive lanyard on an already (tactical) large latch? I would just catch on stuff when you wanted to use the charging handle.
4:48 'Take only what you need' Takes everything
But seriously, I wasn't expecting this, let alone from Homefront.
I'm loving those gun animations, but the gunplay needs to be more meatier
Overall, the whole world environment looks amazing right down to little details.
I wonder how many doors will get kicked in this time around.
I'm really bored of storymode FPS's at this point.
Maybe if they pulled out something really cool like Metro or Prey 2(wtf happened with that game anyways?)
The crafting wheel menu looks totally like the one from watch dogs, no problem on my side on that just noticed

But Metro is a completely linear story driven FPS. And this is an open world game. What are you even on about
the entire concept of north korea controlling anything is fucking retarded beyond belief.
they control north korea.
reality is retarded sadly
After actually watching the video, it sounds like a pretty fun game. Maybe not full price at retail, but twenty bucks? Sure
One thing I totally don't understand is why does North Korea own the East Coast, which in the first game was the only bit not occupied
I'm interested, but at the same time kind of bored with the weapons and weapon systems that appeared. I'd really like to see a realistic AR15 being used sometimes, instead of this gucci'd out M4 with the full-auto selector.
This actually looks awesome, and Linux support too.

Been a few years after the initial invasion, it's possible they pretty much took over some parts of the east coast, especially Pennsylvania.
Well considering how underwhelming the first game was, this might be a welcome sequel. I'd like to see more though first.

I guess, but the first one ended with the bog standard "Freedom reigns America the Beautiful" type ending so I figured it keep on like that
I do like a good superpower brought low story so I don't really care
I wonder just how much footage here is prerendered/not in the final game.
Homefront was a CoD clone wannabe
what cod does at least it does what it does in it's own fashion and it does what it does in the right way for what they want, trying to emulate CoD is a big mistake.
[editline]12th June 2014[/editline]
and this is why Crysis 2 was a bad game
because it was Halo: Modern Warfare
and why A machine for pigs was medicore, it was Amnesia: Story time

Hopefully its like Assassins creed 1 to 2 only assassins creed 1 wasn't shit
making this "well this is pretty ok"

Crysis 2 was an awesome game, what are you even talking about? The singleplayer was great, if a bit easy once you get Stealth Enhance and the multiplayer was fun as fuck, if a little unbalanced. I remember playing the beta and running around in Armor mode with a MG i tore off the mount. I don't really see how it was bad.
Well, except for the aliens. Cool but waaaay too different from the first.

Crysis 2 was a step in the wrong direction, especially how it went from Power struggle to Cod gamemodes. But none the less it was still a good game, just not great. I hope this game does the opposite.
If you think about it, all you need to give a nanosuit to the protag and you've made more of a sequel to Crysis than Crysis 2 was.
