A sci-fi story about a giant spaceship with thousands of people on it, designed to reach far galaxies by traveling hundreds of years, only that through the generations of people living on it noone remembers what they are there for anymore and the story would start shortly before they reach their destination when "sideways" gravity kicks in due to the ship slowing down.
A Disney rendition of the Odyssey.

But that was before he saw the film. Del Toro caught up with it and is no longer concerned. "Not really, I saw it finally and.. yes, there are things in common, but, you know, screw it. Lovecraft was there first," he laughed.

uh we shouldn't forget that much of the general movie-going public doesn't know half a jack shit about Lovecraft and would thus just call it a Prometheus rip-off
Prometheus would have to have been a good movie for that to happen.

A movie about Pripyat/Chernobyl, maybe with stalker lore.
Honestly a movie similar to Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon would be kinda cool. Sci-fi parody with a killer soundtrack.
A movie about a bad ass bounty hunter in a wastelandish post-apocalyptia. Sounds generic as fuck, but there are no movies of this to my knowledge. If you have one, gimme :v:

Any movie that glorifies trivial things, like that one sandwich you made that turned out to be spectacular at the time, but if you took the time to explain it to anyone afterwards, you'd sound like an idiot I see lots of it every now and then in some movies but I'd love to see a movie that has it as a big thing
A movie about "Randezvous with Rama" [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/94/Spacecolony3edit.jpeg[/t] Amazing book. [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] They're actually planning on making the movie, they just lack a good script.

Michael Biehn needs to be in more (better) movies. He's cool.
I'd love a District 9 sequel sometime soon
Catch that Tiger Exploits of the British army successfully capturing a German tiger tank in WW2. The book is based on a true story but ... lets just say it's filled with 'facts' that don't add up, taken as fiction though it's not half bad and it could be a rather entertaining film.
I'd love a District 9 sequel sometime soon
I'd like to know what happened to [sp]the guy who turned into an alien[/sp] but I don't think we'd need a sequel

Which, good news for him, the new Mad Max movie is due out next year-ish.
the obsidian trilogy by Mercedes Lackey, it essentially starts out with dumbledoor's son flunking hogwarts, so he goes and buys some used spellbooks in hopes that they'll have nice notes, and instead he finds a whole new type of magic that has been banned from the city of 1000 bells, after some experimentation his father finds it and he's kicked out of the city and has thousands of stone dogs sent after him, fortunatly a unicorn goes and rescues him and drags him almost outside the boarded... a desperate battle ensues with many clubbings, and this is only in the first 4-5 chapters, the first book goes so freeking far, and the next 2 are very very good chronicaling his rise from a flunking mage to the greatest general of his generation [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] also morgan freeman needs to get rondevouz with ramas working already, he's not getting any younger, though i am not really sure where he'd fit in the movie but it definatly needs to be made, all of clark's stuff should be made at this point because its all amazing and spiritual but not in a religous way [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] i mean it seems like only the crappy apocolypse novels and scifi novels get made into movies anymore.... hunger games, what a piece of crap, espeacially since they sanatised it, ender's game, even worse of a sci-fi book, its barely scifi and basically wraps up the book's plot in the span of 3 paragraphs [editline]15th October 2013[/editline]
A movie about "Randezvous with Rama" [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/94/Spacecolony3edit.jpeg[/t] Amazing book. Everyone seems to be posting sci-fi, so: I'm surprised that there's never been an adaptation of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Also the more adaptations there are of PKD books the better. Blade Runner, Minority Report, Total Recall, and several others are based on his work. Apparently Man in the High Castle is currently being made into a miniseries.
An unfucked version of Starship Troopers would be awesome.
