When you think of football you usually think of a team or a player(:downs:) this is the team you should be thinking about, 6 Superbowls (the most of any team), 23 hall of famers, just ridiculous in general. A lot of people have said the Steelers are the best franchise, and I would have to agree with that. The past seasons they have been mainly dominant and winning 2 Superbowls. Will they be as good in the 2009 season? Probably so, the team is pumped more than ever and they're out to win another Superbowl, the only team that can really stop them are the Pats. Also, If you look at the 2000 season - 2008 seasons they have easily been the most dominant team. And Burger is a prime example of an excellent quarterback than can take blows and shake them off. Their defense have also been a really good example of a top notch D. A D that will make all your players feel pressured, their offense isn't as good as their defense but their QB and RB are very efficient and that is what makes up for it.
I thought he was more a Prime Example of the biggest Quarterback in NFL history. That man can crash right through linebackers. Shiiiiiit.

ure rite
Jaguars for the win!
lol... Jaguars. I guess they have gotten better, but I don't have much hope for them, personally.
Hmm, far prefer rugby to American football. The fanfare surrounding American football is just ridiculous.
I have a Jim Kelly jersey on the way :w00t:
Watched Bruce Smith and Ralph Wilson get inducted tonight. Was p cool. When I was a kid I had a life size poster of Bruce Smith on my door so it was kinda special moment for me. If I've learend anythign from Bruce Smith, its to not drink and drive.
I pimped my avatar. Probably will change it back soon.
He's still an Eagle at heart
Cool avatar bro. I take it you are also an Eagles fan?
You should update the OP with some college players. Percy Harvin anyone?
Hmm, far prefer rugby to American football. The fanfare surrounding American football is just ridiculous.
They really can't be compared.
From the surface, they look like similar sports, but after playing both, you can't compare the two. They are entirely different games.
When I think about it, Rugby is closer to being Soccer with tackling than it is to being American Football.
That being said, people that think players are pussies for wearing pads in American Football are borderline retarded. The hardest hit I took playing Rugby hurt about as bad as the typical good "pop" you get in American Football from a decent hit. Rugby was tougher on me in the sense that I wasn't conditioned well, but football was much more physically strenuous and the hits hurt much, much more.
2 Completely different sports that people are always trying to compare because they've only played one of them, or they haven't played either of them.
You should update the OP with some college players. Percy Harvin anyone?
More like Herschel Walker.
More like Reid Neely.
Still no article on Alan Shearer :(
But obscure trolling that anyone outside England would get aside, would Troy Polamalu (sp?) be worthy of a brief bio?
I have always wondered why do they wear towels at their crotches?

Nick Riewoldt
Plays for St Kilda, the only undefeated team this season who just enjoyed their 19 consecutive win this weekend against the prebious premiers.
He is an incredibly talented marker, having taken the most marks of any player this season, with nearly 20 marks more than the next-highest player. He also has scored the 4th most goals of any player this season, proving his worth and ability.
Undoubtedly one of the top players of the game at this time.
Saints for the flag 2009!
I have always wondered why do they wear towels at their crotches?
Quarterbacks and some receivers/running backs wear them to wipe their hands when they get sweaty, so they can catch the ball easier.
EDIT:
Even if they are wearing gloves. A simple trick to mave gloves stickier is to wet them, then dry them off (kind of how basketball players step on a damp towel to get their shoes more sticky). It really gives them a really good temporary stick, making it a lot easier to make one handed catches and such. I used to do it all the time as a Fullback.

And the fanfare surrounding soccer is any better? At least there aren't riots at every football game.
Wait seriously?
Walter Payton?
Deion Sanders?
Jerry Rice?
Ronnie Lott?
I could keep going on and on...
EDIT: Also for the Steelers article you should probably mention the Steel Curtain... I mean they are considered the dynasty of the 1970's.
I'd like to add myself to this list but I don't play it anymore :smug:
