We're fine with accepting the fact that we only have one life, we know what our role in society is, and we commit to that role and enjoy ourselves along the way.

I'm basically alive right now because the physical and emotional pain I feel is not worse than the physical and emotional pain of death. Get me some percocet or demerol or something and xenodrox will be a happy kitty. Although, I'm not depressed because I'm an atheist. I'm an atheist because I'm depressed. I don't feel much aside from bitterness and hate unless I've got some green or some opiates.

Why do athiest get to celebrate Christmas even thought they don't believe in Jesus or any omnipitent being? BTW, the meaning of life is the pursuit of happiness. At least that's how I see it.

Why do Christians celebrate a Pagan holiday?

Well...rather than trying to believe things that probably aren't true we simply just believe in what is there and have fun rather than following rules so we get sent to a good place that probably doesn't exist when we die. Science never got nailed to a cross, bro.

Christianity is almost like a total converstion from Paganism. It's similiar in many ways but the Church constantly attempts to demonize Paganism and most of it's practices. Which is why sex is not reflected kindly upon by the church. Yeah, I guess your right. But still, then why do any of us celebrate Christmas. I think I have the ability to live a fuller life than any theist. As you believe leading a good life will eventually grant you access to an eternity of infinite happiness, I believe that only what I do while living matters up until the point that I die. You pray nightly, you don't fuck before marriage, no drugs, porn, etc. Whereas I, aside from repercussions from other humans, can go kidnap some whore and do lines off her forehead while in her up to my nuts, if I was that way inclined, and not give a single fuck. Atheism is great :v:

I never really got the point of atheism because whats the point in just not believing in anything at all. At least if you say your agnostic you can just say you want to believe, just in case there is the slightest chance there is a god and all that crack you might not end up being fucked in the ass.

Wasn't that nihilism? A-theism is the LACK OF A BELIEF IN GOD. Also I'm still quite sure an agnostic is not someone that is "on the fence" about god.

You got it backwards, it's not you're insignificant because life if to big. It's life should be significant to you because it's so big. Even if you don't believe in anything, just the chance to live and experience all sorts of things trough life should be enough to want to live it to the fullest.

We only have one life. Make the most of it. We're all ridiculously lucky to even exist, think about all the possible outcomes of reproduction, gene combinations etc. Billions of versions of you could have been created, each unique. Then factor in the great fertilization dash that each sperm cell has to undertake. Only one of those thousands of sperm cells made it. YOU. To think that once we are dead, we pass into another life wherein everything is perfect and we can finally be happy, is frankly ignorant, selfish, and stupid.
