I wonder if making the computer voice sound like Raising Hearto from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha was intentional
This is why you don't hand over the source engine to the Japanese.
The machines are pretty nuts. Playing with pedals, a shifter and a joystick sounds like a really weird way to do it.

I went to japanland and played this. Because arcades are popular there this is the shit. No one plays on PC or consoles, they all are buisnessmen who want to avoid their families. So they play at arcades! This game wasn't that good. Really shitty control (played with peddles to walk). It runs on Taito Type X which is just Windows XP in an arcade cab. They had SSFIV which was cool
is this canon
Also they had a pinball game where you won tickets to buy doujens (whatever the fuck they are spelled)
You guys have seriously never heard of this?
I thought everybody knew about the mega weird HL2 arcade game.
I hadn't seen gameplay of this before, but I'd seen Counter-Strike: ONLINE.

Counterstrike online is not an arcade game, however http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-Strike_Neo is.
Repost from Half-Life discussion thread:
Hello everyone! Me and danielmm8888 have gotten Half-Life 2: Survivor to actually work multiplayer! And we have a nice video to show off, with a tutorial to compliment. I would have uploaded this video sooner, but FRAPs was a nasty piece of software in the process, regardless, Half-Life 2: Survivor is actually really easy to set up in multiplayer! Here's what we did, and our video as well!:

Start a multiplayer match as you would normally with the bots and everything (using the survivor menu, no console stuff) and once you loaded and you can move around, use your debug console and type in disconnect (possibly twice). Here is what you do from there in step form:
1. type maxplayers 2 (or however many you need) in console
2. type net_start in console
3. type sv_lan 0 in console
4. type map (what map you want) in console
5. once loaded, type heartbeat in console
6. Kick the bots (it's hard since they have really strange names, but I usually just select all and copy in the debug console, and select their names to copy so I can kick from there) using status > kick "bot name"
7. tell the non host's to connect (host ip with hamachi)
You might need hamachi for this to work, it's really easy to set up. As far as I know the host of hamachi should also host the survivor match.
ALSO: Some of that stuff up there might not be needed, me and danielmm8888 did this for testing purposes, feel free to make the steps up there more efficient!
ALSO 2: Hamachi might not be needed, we used it in this case for testing purposes but if you think you can get it to work without it, go for it!

Also right now I am trying to get a Survivor match going, it's not set in stone yet but if you want to join in the match if it happens come over to the Half-Life Discussion thread and tell us.
this is kinda awesome

Oh man, I had the pleasure(?) of playing this at a crazy ass mega-arcade in China. They had 4 of them in a row. After the shock value of "holy shit it's really Half Life Survivor" it was a bit of a pain in the ass to play, what with the pedals/joysticks combo. It was really fun though.
I totally would love to see this remade for PC with the modern source engine, with updated models and HD textures, etc.
...and with a better HUD and announcer voice...

Yeah, it's like a cross between that sort of "TactiCool" look mixed with tradictional Japanese Oni Masks.

This is a prime example of why you should never let japan get it's hands on anything that wasn't made by them. :v:

I actually like the look of it, and the way it must control seems retarded but neat.

The HUD is bad, but the combat looks cool
