i hate the use of techno as a blanket term. You guys all suck. Especially op. Just call it edm or something. in short: Anyone who dislikes all electronic music is a loser. P.s. i make it.
ps. Read the fucking op.
Because if it's made with computers it's not real music. If it's made with like, guitars and sythisisers and drums and stuff then it's real music and it has notes and stuff. But making music with a computer? That's just ridiculous!
If anything it computer created instrument sounds, sound better than real recordings because they don't have any static, or environmental sound.
This one always makes me rage, because for 1. People don't know about the various hardware and 2. What constitutes "real music"? It's just sound waves either way. I click a note, you pluck a note. Also, the computer doesn't make the music itself, there is a person behind it, the same way a guitar doesn't play music without a person. But yeah I can understand why someone would think that.

If anything it computer created instrument sounds, sound better than real recordings because they don't have any static, or environmental sound.
You two do realize I was kidding right?
If anything it computer created instrument sounds, sound better than real recordings because they don't have any static, or environmental sound.
That's going to get you flamed. Synthesized instruments will never, at least in my mind, surpass real instruments in terms of sound quality. Why? Because you can't imitate something better than the original. If you do, you've created something different. That's actually impossible, it would be analogous to watching TV with a higher definition than reality.
There is no soul
(more instrumental hip-hop though)
I honestly don't know anyone who *hates* techno. Maybe people just think it's easy. Making bad techno is easy. Making good techno is hard.
i could make much better music than richard, d. and james combined if i really wanted to
Techno is generally repetitive and boring.
bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum x100
I can't live without me drum and bass or intelligent dance music.
Because techo listeners are usually no-life, immature, "life is just a big party" teenage fucktards.
People who say techno sucks because it's "not real music" and because it's made with assistance by computers, probably don't realize that people thought the same of their shitty classic rock music. There has always been opposition to music evolving technologically, and it's stupid. And to say it has no soul is just as stupid as saying rock is made by the devil.
I can enjoy some occasional techno song, but most of them sound pretty bad. It's too fast paced and too loud for my taste. I like electronic, drum n' bass and metal and all that, but techno sounds so repetitive and angry, in lack of better words. I don't really care if someone listens to it, but I can't understand how some people think that 500 BPM is music.
I don't really care if someone listens to it, but I can't understand how some people think that 500 BPM is music.
People think that because it is. Don't be ignorant.
Because techo listeners are usually no-life, immature, "life is just a big party" teenage fucktards.
That's the rave people. There's a huge variety of techno, not all techno is the same. I listen to D&B/Breakbeat/Glitch/Chiptunes because almost every song has its own feel to it.
That's the rave people. There's a huge variety of techno, not all techno is the same.
That's what I don't like about the term. When people say techno, I think "UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ" and green laser light shows.
I love techno.
I don't know why people ask why other people don't like their music. It's simply a matter of appeal and it just doesn't appeal to them.
Because techo listeners are usually no-life, immature, "life is just a big party" teenage fucktards.
Mostly thats hard techno/jumpstylers/and ummm rave techno (some other legit name) Some are pretty good though. Analog Worms is good.
Because techo listeners are usually no-life, immature, "life is just a big party" teenage fucktards.
People are entitled to view life how they want to.. Who's to say which way of living is right?
People are entitled to view life how they want to.. Who's to say which way of living is right?
The collective.
The collective.
Animal Collective
People that say things like IDM are repetitive are deaf. Edit: I'm personally really against using "Techno" as a blanket term, because I hate putting the thought in people's head, like what Doriol said, of just rave shit with green laser light show crap going on. I usually just tell people the specific artist , electronic, or describe it in detail if they ask what I'm listening to.
Quick, but does it sound good? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sm1FEht4rvo
I prefer rock and metal however techno is 100% fine with me.
I hate people who only like sandstorm than people who don't like any "techno"
I don't like it because the fans are usually douchebags
I don't like it because the fans are usually douchebags
so are pretty much all the fans of the albums in your avatar
so are pretty much all the fans of the albums in your avatar
all music fans are douchebags. it's a well known fact.
