People hate techno/trance because they are incapable of processing sounds over 60bpm, they are weak, they must be annihilated.
Except trance is basically the definition of eurotrash.
Rate me disagree because I insulted your precious trance. Q.Q
The only reason anybody in this thread hates techno is for incredibly ignorant reasons. They are ignorant to the process of making music with the assistance of computers.

You don't know what techno is.
Go back to OIFY.

Yeah, because you know their favorite hip-hop, rap, and pop musicians NEVER use computers (or their producers don't) to enhance their music.

That's what I don't get about people hating techno. By their definition, all popular music is techno.
That was my point.
My freinds listen to a lot of techno when I'm around, and I still dislike it.
Related and funny.

Wasn't really funny, that comedian is pretty ignorant.
What was funny is the fact he makes fun of them, and this guy turns around and creatively creates a remix of his stand up.
Good remix, i just don't like the comedian.
All tehno is produced by one fat guy who lives chained up in a basement.
That's why it all sounds the same
Is a 4/4 kick too much for some people to handle?
Sometimes it's completely overused. Noones impressed when you're not playing a real drumset.
Are whiny leads/pitched up vocals too obnoxious?
GOD YES
Personally, I think most techno out there is total shit. The same remixed sounds over and over again with the same goddamn annoying voices. There's absolutely no innovation.
That's not to say there's absolutely no good techno, but most of it sucks.
I don't get how that's a shitty excuse or why you even need an excuse to not like a genre.
Music cannot be without something being the same over and over and over and over and over again.
I stop posting ITT when you show me a well known song that doesn't have any repetition.
How can you hate EDM?

For those looking for non repetitive techno

Because within the first five seconds there were about 10 clichés?
Polynomial-C is one of my favorite tracks by him. Have a friendly.
Becouse it's not real music, the way you make techno should not be the way you make music in my opinion. Also, it's overall boring.
My opinion.
Battles disagrees.

Its obnoxious and repetitive.
Is there any techno song with good and creative lyrics?
Is there any techno song with good and creative lyrics?
That's completely subjective. But I don't see how that would matter anyway.
Is there any techno song with good and creative lyrics?
Most techno music is about the music itself, not about some poem some guy wrote in a day and trying to base an entire song around.
That said, techno music that does have a vocal track (that isn't just used to be apart of the music), tend to always involve love or relationships. It's kind of "old hat" I think, but on the plus side there are some songs that just sound awesome with vocals even though the lyrics might be "cheese" or a love song.
Such as:

Also 99% of it is female vocals. Some people say that male vocals are stupid in electronic music, and it's always such bullshit :v:
Most "popular techno" such as really hardcore dance stuff don't really have lyrics other than a line or two, usually only trance music will have lyrical tracks.
Of course stuff like Synthpop/futurepop is pretty much entirely based around lyrical songs by male singers with deep voices. VNV Nation comes to mind, it's a completely different style from the trance song I put above:

VNV nation is also awesome :3:
"Stand your ground this is what we are fighting for... for spirit and morals and ways! Cry havoc and let slip of the dogs of war, for heaven or hell we shall not wait! Shall I think of Honor as lies, or lament it's slow demise? Shall I stand as a total stranger, on this day in this stone chamber?"
I love house music. Is that considered techno? But either way, I love techno as well.
Maybe because its mostly the same thing over and over again, and "noise" and many times related to druggies and shit cuz of how weird it sounds..
I like it though :P
Because within the first five seconds there were about 10 clichés?
Do you even know what a cliché is?
some things people are not getting about dance music
it is meant for dancing to, who gives a toss if it's repetitive, it's meant to be to keep you dancing to, you don't want the track to change completely half way through a chorus, it would confuse the dancefloor
and the thump of the kick is to keep the whole track going, nobody is going to dance to a track that has absolutely no drive at all
as for lyrics nobody want's to hear some complex vocals in dance tracks, keep it simple and cheerful to get the dancefloor singing along
Is there any techno song with good and creative lyrics?
Maybe this?

To other guy, yes I know what a cliché is.
