As you can see, the smoke goes through the plastic hose, down out through the little holes, then floats back up to the top.

The bowl is made by wrapping the top 3/4" of the hose in tin foil (it sticks up past the lid), i then wrapped an extra layer to prevent the plastic hose from being heated up to much, then poked some aluminum foil down into the tube and poked holes in that as well. The weed sits directly inside the tube for maximum suction

And percolation is the act of the smoke bubbling up through the water to filter and cool it... what youre thinking of is a dual percolation gravity bong, I gave a single one, because I used the definition of the word, not your fucked up idea that somethings only "percolated" if its filtered 2 times or something. Either way this is my last post in this thread period.

Percolation is the act of the smoke bubbling up through the water, what you showed merely CAUSES percolation. Its a part for a fucking bong, I mean, do you think that the term percolation only came about when bongs did? EVERY bong has at least one point of percolation, otherwise its not a bong. The same goes for diffusion, what you showed diffuses the smoke into the water more, thus resulting in greater water to smoke surface area, which means cooler and better filtered smoke.
Heres one definition for diffusion:
the process whereby particles of liquids, gases, or solids intermingle as the result of their spontaneous movement caused by thermal agitation and in dissolved substances move from a region of higher to one of lower concentration

I suggest you stop acting like IM the idiot, and focus on learning something yourself, besides how to argue a point you know nothing about.

Gotta say that the downstem with holes is called a DIFFUSER.
The crazy filtering mechanism is a percolator.

You've got a good idea with the hose coming down from the neck so the smoke comes out the bottom.

Now you need another bottle/container that will go inside the pop bottle but encases (outside) the hose. Now inside this new container there will be water filled about 1/3 the way up the hose. The hose will have holes in this bottom 1/3 of the length of it, these are your percolator holes (it might also make sense to seal the bottom of the hose so the smoke is forced out of the holes you made instead of just out the bottom).

The tricky part here is suspending the inner container inside the pop bottle, and allowing the hose to come out with the cap when you unscrew it (so you don't suck up the water in your perc).
