Guy on Second Life goes batshit insane after being trolled.

kinda worried for that guy tbh
A long time ago, I put $20 in Second Life to have enough Lindens to upload models and textures. Those Lindens can be sold back for cash on the market (which happens instantly when you press the button) and you can process your credit to PayPal which then can go straight to your bank account.
Selling random shit.

Obligatory boasting again, sorry
Wait, you're telling me I could make the tiniest of details for rooms like fucking vent covers, in 3DS Max 2012, and sell it on Second Life and idiots would buy it because realism?
Sweet jesus in a hot tub, I don't know how to model for shit but it's about time I learned!
The only downside is that you morph into a furfag within 48 hours if you don't uninstall it no matter how hard you tell yourself it won't happen to you

Exploiting furries for their cash is also fun too.

Same. I noticed a desktop shortcut for 'Second Life Viewer'.
I wonder how that got there.
Wow, at first i thought this guy is a hitman with all this black outfit and his bald head. Was expecting him to kill that fuckoff-guy in the end with a fiber wire or something.

it's installed on my sister's laptop, I've never seen her play it tho.
The first time I saw it I didn't get a good look at the icon and was like "you shitting me?", when I got a chance to take a good look my mind got blown.
I...wow. I use Second Life, but I certainly don't take it seriously. That is the sign of someone who needs to get an emergency dose of real life, ASAP.
As for me, I have a job so there's no drive to make money on SL, simply just the action of making/scripting things is what really keeps me on Second Life and de-stresses me from a frustrating day.
Oh and a quick tip: United Space Force Nation (USFN) is a fun group to troll, though they do have an autobanning bot if you try to grief. The sim is Crystal Haven. It's made up of furries and boy do they get butthurt easily! I stay around them because they make a great punch line to jokes. (And there are a couple of people who aren't dumb as bricks)

ok
God, I remember playing years ago. Funniest thing though is for whatever reason my parents started playing at some poi t, and for whatever reason my mother bought three islands and turned in to a land baron. Then after a couple of years she got tired of the stupidity and drama and sold everything off. How weird.
I've never played Second Life, because my cousin showed me this knockoff called There. It's pretty shit if I remember correctly as I only used it a few times.
A poor man's Second Life, except eventually you had to pay for access. You couldn't customize your character or create shit to anywhere close the same extent as SL.
I played Second Life for a solid 2 years, maybe. I was like 14 or 15 and I told anyone I ever came into contact with that I was 18.... So... Many... Boob... Pictures...

You will shut your whore mouth immediatley because there was fucking amazing.
I remember trying this game until I found out every single object in the game requires you to buy with real cash, "insert australian "fuck off" here"

All I remember of There was the character creator, the beaches where you could walk on the ocean, some player hubs, and a guy who kept running over my cousin with an ATV because she didn't want to talk to him

What did you model to get so much money?
A fursuit :v:?
What did you model to get so much money?
I don't model anything, I just script it. Whoever models for me gets a 25-50% profit share.
Still, I sell mostly autistic bullshit. My top sellers (by far) are door kits and elevators. After that, electronic text boards, traffic lights, road signs, security cameras, and some other junk. You can make big bucks on cornering niche markets, of which there are plenty. Aviation is (strangely) a huge market dominated by whichever trashy plane is the newest because there is no true market leader - it's something I wanted to get in to, but none of my modelers want to put in the effort to model an entire plane from scratch, down to the dials and switches in the cockpit. (I guess that's why nobody bothers making their own plane models - they're almost all stolen from the internet.)
I am in a group of a bunch of developers that each head a specific brand or two, and usually we end up working on each others' shit. So, basically a conglomerate like GE or 3M. There are several major car brands in the group that I've scripted for as well, those tend to be big.
But now that anyone can just rip a model from Turbosquid, upload it into SL, and use a free (or cheap) car engine script, the market is flooded with garbage, and us developers are a dying breed. I don't think we've posted any growth in the past two years.
There's a lot of potential in the game - it's powerful if you know how to use it (and when to offload things to personal web servers, as I have done more and more). It's just run by an incompetent company with an awful pricing structure and no developer-customer interaction. They actually locked down the bug tracker and made all bug reports private so nobody knows if anything is being done. (If you report a bug, chances are they'll close it as a duplicate and reference another bug that you can't view.) They also recently locked down the wiki, so only employees can edit things. A lot of documentation is outdated because nobody can edit anymore... but they don't give a fuck, because they're too busy buying and reselling shitty iPhone games and completely irrelevant digital distribution services.
