I've seen this happen at my school as well, there's 4 Caucasian kids here (2 Americans and 2 Ukrainians) and pretty much everyone recognizes them.
Its actually because the Caucasians bring more money with them compared to other tourists.
They give out better tips. Trust me, I used to work as a bell-boy.
