When one the people in my class who is Caucasian went to Vietnam, they were asking if they could touch his hair and sometimes cut it off because blonde hair is good luck in Vietnam.
I prefer Caucasians too. Though, I myself am one.

Because whiteness has been the symbol of wealth and power in the past (still now but not as much with countries like Korea and Japan) and the desire to make oneself look good to those you feel as above you is never ending. Also, white people are generally seen as arrogant and proud, and being around such people can really make somebody else submissive and weak willed, so they end up being treated better.

I fucking loved singapore, best place I've been outside of the UK.
We weren't exactly treated like gods when we went though, just treated like everyone else.
I'm Half Singaporean and Half English. Have lived here all my life and I attend an international school. I have never really noticed anyone being intolerant to other people based on race or religion.
