it's common knowledge that anything after dookie is shit
American idiot is mostly good, too bad their image went to shit starting with that album
My favorite album is warning. Not many people know about it Here are some good songs off it Minority Waiting (My personal favorite) Fashion Victim Castaway, Deadbeat Holiday, and Church On Sunday are also good Very underappreciated album
Insomniac is their most under rated album with Warning imo
my favorite green day song is "get back to work"
same
boulevard of broken dreams, 21 guns, viva la gloria and know your enemy are my favorites, i do not see what is wrong with American idiot and 21st century breakdown.
clearly
jk green day is the epitome of awful pop punk
i thought that was Blink-182 I'd rather listen to Green Day than Blink-182 Fuck Blink-182's vocalist is horrid. [editline]08:24PM[/editline] Also I used to like these guys but I dunno, not listened to them in forever, like literally at all. Don't think I've even heard a song in at least a year, probably more :v:
blink-182 never wrote a "boulevard of broken dreams" [editline]02:56PM[/editline] not to say they aren't nearly as awful
I liked Green Day before the turn of the millennium.
Wake me up when september ends. Amazing to play on guitar
boulevard of broken dreams, 21 guns, viva la gloria and know your enemy are my favorites, i do not see what is wrong with American idiot and 21st century breakdown.
An example of someone who doesn't know any songs before AI
Wake me up when september ends. Amazing to play on guitar
Yeah, 2 notes. Awesome. I like Green Day, especially Kerplunk.
Longview and Homecoming are their best songs, In my Opinion.
21 gunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnns jk green day is the epitome of awful pop punk very first album is kinda decent, back when the toured with the living end
green day was a sellout labeling them punk is wrong
called POP punk for a reason
called POP punk for a reason
pop-punk is kind of an oxymoron
called POP punk for a reason
Pop Punk is Paramore, Blink 182, Sum 41, etc. Green day is more of a watered down Punk Rock (Their older music anyways)
One my main problems with Green Day was that they insist to call themselves punk, to this day. They're actually really cool people, I had a nice conversation with Mike Dirnt before one of their shows in Bristow, Virginia and he was really fun to talk to. They are good musicians, but they need to be a little more modest when it comes to other people's opinions too. Anyone who has half a mind that likes Green Day likes their old music just as well or better. I absolutely love 1039/Smooth, Kerplunk, and Insomniac, Insomniac is one of my favorite albums from the 90s. Dookie is still great simply because of the memories I have associated with it, and this applies to American Idiot too. American Idiot was actually decent. It wasn't nearly as good as their old stuff, but I liked it better than the road they were going down with Warning and Nimrod. Their problem is that they would write songs from the point of view of someone who's a late teenager or in their early 20s, but when they continued to do this when they were 30, it didn't work, so they decided to go ahead and preach about how America sucks, then about how religion and America sucks. All the while losing their musical individuality. If anyone likes their old shit, here's some nice nostalgia content for you. This was their first show, ever. They seemed much happier during their old shows as opposed to now
pop-punk is kind of an oxymoron
I know that's what it sucks so fucking much
I have never heard a greenday song I didn't like. Loved them since birth and most likely always will. Though i watch their musicals...i died a little. [editline]11:26PM[/editline]
I know that's what it sucks so fucking much
True punk is dead. Has been for since before we were born. Pop punk is all there is worth listening to if you're in the punk scene. Ska bands, punk bands, alternative bands. Its all pop now. Some indie is still tight but its just the time we live in. No shame in it. [editline]11:27PM[/editline]
green day was a sellout labeling them punk is wrong
Shame on bands for wanting to make some money doing what they love.
Pop Punk is Paramore, Blink 182, Sum 41, etc. Green day is more of a watered down Punk Rock (Their older music anyways)
Paramore is pop-rock. Green Day is pop-punk

Once you become better at your art it changes. You don't have to like it. Show me a picture of you at 16 and then 37. Lets see what happens. [editline]11:31PM[/editline]
Paramore is pop-rock. Green Day is pop-punk
Yup
I can say that I like a lot of what I hear from the band. What did piss me off about them was that their songs would be played on the radio way too much, and it just made me really dislike the songs.
