NWOBHM is about as far as i go into anything remotely approaching power metal
some people like power metal, some don't. I really like how its (primarily) based in major keys, something you don't find often in metal, and I also respect the technical aspect of most power metal bands. I also really like higher range vocals so it is good for that lol

The thing with Dragonforce is that they have some great intros and solos and guitar fills, but the verses and choruses fall completely flat. The Power Within was a step in the right direction, though
fail compared to what lol. it's not special but it's not bad either. I think they have some good choruses though. they write some interesting "inbetween" riffs" as well, etc etc etc
i think they are one of the better power metal bands

Good lyrics have a meaning or at least few interpretations, use words which are not common, have good writing, good flow between words it might be catchy phrases and at the end of the day someone can sing them really well.
About her song, there is nothing catchy, lyrics have no flow at all, it's random sentences not going with each other but against each other and backtrack or beat is just annoying it's one of those beats which people play loud in their car so loud you can hear it 100 meters away, her voice is bad she has annoying tendencies to repeat certain words or sounds she has no range in her voice except making sounds that would make a proud chipmunk father, overall feel, each time I hear this I feel like I wanna take a massive diarrhea.
By the way this is my opinion, I don't force this upon anybody so let it be.
