This is why i try to stay off PBnation, militaryphotos, etc.
yeah except military photos has like tons of geardos if you are trying to make a loadout it's a great place to look what boggles me is how all the ~real army men~ constantly jump into the airsoft section and call everyone gay, and geardos still go there it's like masochism central
Oh boy, another all nighter. Fuck me i'm tired. [editline]29th August 2011[/editline] HOLY SHIT. i feel like fucking Solid Snake right now. So, i'm creeping through the house, cause im the only one up, and i hear my dad get up to let our dogs out. Well, i didnt have time to run to my room, so i had to hid somehow else. Near the stairs is this little 6 inch notch that sticks out. I hid behind that. My dad is now in my full view, and LOOKS DOWN THE HALLWAY TO MY ROOM, IN MY DIRECTION, Says nothing and goes down stairs. [editline]29th August 2011[/editline] MMMM cheesesticks.

The airsoft section there is pretty gay. I remember seeing Multicam and M4s everywhere the last time I was there.
Burnt pot metal smells p bad.

No, I burnt a piece of metal. With fire.
I'm calling the pyromaniac help number for you
[editline]29th August 2011[/editline] WHAT THE FUUUCK [editline]29th August 2011[/editline] Marine - Looks like 300 lbs. of fat stuffed into a 100 lbs. fat sack. Airsofter - Oh no, sir, only 216 lbs. Marine- Then you are not accurately portraying US Marines. We aren't hairy nor fat looking Baby-Hughes's. Marine 2- Marines don't have facial hair unless working with JSOC and for cultural considerations, which you ARE NOT, therefor your "impressions" is not accurate...not to mention the fact half the gear your wearing wouldn't be issued by any Marine unit, MARSOC or not. Wow what the fuck [editline]29th August 2011[/editline] I want to dress up on a really fucked up "marine" uniform like woodland Marpat Top, Desert Marpat on bottom, sneakers, crossdraw and like an AK74 and see how they react :v:
One of the other replies: 'Couple of points for ya: 1. I'm not a US Marine. 2. I have worked with the recently, Top blokes. 3. You are a fat ass, trying too hard to look HSLD. 4. Give up trying to emulate, just go back to BK and live that dream. ' Jesus christ. Do your troll loadout. Doooooo it.
Wear a Chicom for irony.
Everyone on Facebook: "HURF DURF WERE GONNA DRINK UNTIL WE GET ALCOHOL POISONING LOL" We get it, you're graduating this year and ending summer with a massive party. But you're all still fucking retarded. There's going to be a total of 5 people at my school tomorrow that are seniors, which will be me and my friends. And if there are more, we'll be the only ones who aren't drunk.
foos foreloaf told me to tell you "you're a dick and stole my gyazo pic" and to tell german to stop distributing his gyazo pics
k
rude also about militaryphotos: if you go there for anything BUT the photos you're a fuck

That guy that they ripped into was wearing a bunch of rank insignia and unit patches he didn't earn, and had a ridiculous amount of incredibly expensive gear, including full ballistic plates and even special boxers. They don't just hate on airsofters who use realistic kit, they hate on airsofters who either 1. wear insignia they haven't earned, or 2. use equipment not because it's practical, but because it's what the real soldiers are issued. A lot of them are actually active or former service, and play airsoft as a game, which IMO is how it's meant to be treated. Things are a bit more relaxed for stuff like WW2 loadouts, as it's reenactment more than anything else, but active-service uniforms are heavily scrutinized.

So they're soldiers, therefore they're allowed to be dickheads over a game?
Incoming shitstorm
rude also about militaryphotos: if you go there for anything BUT the photos you're a fuck

So they're soldiers, therefore they're allowed to be dickheads over a game?
From what I read, they're fine towards the people who treat it like a game. It's the people who take it super seriously because they act like it makes them cool who get flamed into oblivion. For example, this is the guy that all those lines DarkZero quoted were responding to. They weren't flaming him just because he's overweight or has facial hair or whatever, they were flaming him because he's wearing literally thousands of dollars of equipment that has no real purpose beyond imitating a Marine loadout- including a big, stark JTAC badge he obviously didn't earn in any fashion. Basically using issue gear to create a themed loadout to use in airsoft is fine, but using issue gear to painstakingly recreate real uniforms for its own sake is posing.
There was this guy on my Facebook bragging about his EI CIRAS with level 3a SAPI plates that he uses for ~uber milsim~ airsoft  I think he's talking out of his ass but still.

Ok, I thought you guys were saying trying to imitate a soldier at all would piss them off.
Airsoft: Srs Business. Honestly, to me, airsoft is a game until you play with people who are all really into it, then it seems to be a milsim.
Playing Fallout New Vegas.
Ok, I thought you guys were saying trying to imitate a soldier at all would piss them off.
Most of the forum seems pretty chill with re-enactors and airsofters as long as they're not unintentionally impersonating real soldiers. One guy put it pretty well when he said that if you dress up in a Vietnam loadout, that's fine because nobody's going to think a guy in his twenties was actually in Vietnam- but if you're dressing in a modern loadout, and are all kitted up so that someone might mistake you for an active duty soldier, there's a problem.
good thing im 14 hahahahaha
If you want to troll military photos, wear something like ACUs, put on an OD chest rig, and hold one of those clearsoft mini-MP5s. and also running shoes.
