daily life v. talking about vidya when the vidya thread is directly under it
Fucking UT That was my shit
Oh shit yeah, i forgot that and Quake.
I grew up on Marathon, MDK, Pathways Into Darkness, AvP (for the Atari Jaguar), Bubsy, Independence War, Freespace, and Wing Commander IV. Until the Xbox, I never had a console besides the Jaguar, so I didn't have a chance to play many of the N64 and PlayStation classics.

Oh, how about Rayman.
rayman was pretty awesome too, although i don't think i ever beat any of the rayman games but seriously, crash bandicoot and spyro pretty much dominated my childhood gaming life and this game but idk if anyone else has ever played it
Rayman is not cool, at least not compared to other vidya games/characters.
Why do people talk shit about rap and say it requires no skill when they can't rap themselves :V

I just don't like rap. It may be hard, i sure as hell can't rap, but i don't like it. All rap is these days is a bunch of retard "gangsters" talking about murdering or doing drugs.

Lets all sit around a camp fire and listen to some folk music [sp]I fucking love Sons of Anarchy[/sp]
goddamn 8-bit black metal makes for some really awesome castlevania-esque game themes
Try what I listen to now, Vevo don't kill embedding :beg:
I'm learning to appreciate hip hop. I still can't listen to most any rap, but hip hop just seems so much more enjoyable. For example, this blows me away:
Playing ith a broken finger like a boss.
Why do people talk shit about rap and say it requires no skill when they can't rap themselves :V
I know that generalizations are usually bad, but the genre is largely dominated by thuggish idiots who can come up with a beat but not a melody, and rap solely on the mindless subjects of drugs, crime, and exploitation of women. That's not to say there isn't good rap (after all, it's essentially just spoken poetry set to a beat), but it's buried under mountains and mountains of shit. I tend to prefer music that combines the spoken aspect of rap with more traditional musical elements of pop or hip-hop. 'Gangsta's Paradise' was a successful example of this, and I've seen some great mixes of Beastie Boys and Ratatat that worked fantastically.
