So, which one of you is Evan Throckmorton?
Me.
I got an email on youtube with my airsoft account, this is what it was.
[B][h=3]USJTF[/h]On Behalf of the United States Joint Task Force staff we are writing this letter today in regards to many of our Senior Staff's vested interests and Observations of your Team in the last couple of weeks. From what we see we think you all make a significant impact in the US Airsoft Program and we would like to offer you the opportunity to join our Organization in your Division Area. We are also looking for senior leadership in your area and from our observations your team also has many members qualified for these positions.
From the outside we might look like another Airsoft Team or organization, something that has been done before. But if you were on the inside you would see that this is far from reality as this is a unique experience in Airsoft development. Many of you are MILSIM airsofter's and take great pride in the fact that you are and we commend you for your commitment to the sport. Now we ask you a simple question "Are you ready to take the next step in the MILSIM Airsoft evolution?"
The USJTF is not a Team as we all keep our team individuality.....It is an organization of member teams spread all across the country with one common goal.
"To unite MILSIM teams that are willing to take it to the next level in a strategic alliance which encompasses joint training, Cooperation with member teams in a joint effort at large games, events, and the creation of USJTF joint MILSIM games at the local level to pool players with the same interests and beliefs"
Why would I want to Join?
1. Team training from real steel professionals on quality MOUT and woodland training areas across the nation. Average games in areas with a large pool of USJTF players average between 60-120 players.
2. A huge variety of playing fields/Teams/and Games encompassing all 50 states. Be part of a brotherhood of players who are united with you in a joint cause.
3. Training and team building assistance from the rest of the JTF community with the ability to attend the Airsoft Special Warfare Basic, Senior, and Master Course. This Airsoft Training is possibly some of the best Airsoft Training in the world ran by law enforcement / Active Duty/Retired Military Professionals.
4. Realistic and well structured MILSIM games and operations. The USJTF Emulates the US Military Command and Control Structure as well as the organization of military units in the Airsoft Role. Airsoft companies (Member teams of the USJTF) are established for teams such as Infantry, Reconnaissance, and Special Warfare with each company holding a unique role in their chosen fields. Teams pick what they want to do as a task force company and execute their roles in their chosen fields at training days, big games, and events. Brigades are assigned by state and companies are assigned to these brigades. Divisions are formed encompassing the brigades of the region. These divisions are commanded by a Corps Headquarters.
5. Ever wanted to advance in Airsoft? In the USJTF we use a joint ranking system from Operator to Lieutenant General. Regardless of the team all USJTF member teams use the same rank structure and operate as one on the Airsoft field with a unified chain of command. Time in service and experience with the USJTF equals rank advancement and higher levels of command at the Battalion, Brigade, and Division levels.
5. The ability to pool resources from other JTF teams to help host and set up large scale games and events and attend Large scale games with well trained platoon elements (No need guessing any longer if who you are playing with is up to par)
6. Leadership training academy's run by the total sum of all the teams of the JTF. These courses are set by the current rank JTF members hold, and for team captains this provides you will a pool of natural leaders that are trained.
7.The ability to branch out and meet new teams and players in not just the state but the regional, and National level working with them in a joint effort leading to larger National event type games and better training opportunities.
8. Most of all working with others that have the same interests, values, and dedication as yourselves.
So as you can see the USJTF is not your run of the mill Airsoft organization, it takes Airsoft to new heights in the forefront of Airsoft development. We would love to have each and every one of you join us in this epic endeavor, be a part of the outfit, and take pride in being part of the Task force....Regardless of location in the United States.
Please stop by and read all of our information and make a fully informed decision of what the task force has to offer.

Anyone here ever seen Restrepo? It's a documentary on US Army solders in Afghanistan. I hope all our soldiers aren't this incompetent.
is there an ifap circle in google+ yet?
You have to make your own. They should implement a feature like groups or tagging people in pictures/posts. Unless there already is those features...
I've heard good stuff about Restrepo, although I've not seen it myself.
I've seen it on either History or the Discovery channel here in the UK and I can say without a doubt it's one of the best documentaries I've seen.
It was very interesting, Restrepo gives a great view of the soldier's life in Afghanistan.

Well one, they killed the guys cow. You realize in Afghanistan, that's like me stealing your car and telling you, you can have a pile of rice instead. The Captain seemed to insult the Elders alot (this is why we get nowhere in Afghanistan). He told them to get over the deaths of innocent civilians they killed. Seriously, how can you expect the Natives to help when you give them the finger at every oppurtunity?

the cow was shot at night when it was roaming outside the FOB for some reason
and the elders are p. much helping the talibanana
So the US Army couldn't supply one cow to a man they took it from?
And so what? You think being cruel to them gets help? I mean seriously.

You think the Army is going to ship a cow over to one guy in Afghanistan? That's not how shit gets done.
They could pay him. US money is worth a whole lot more than Afghani money.

I'm seriously gonna stop browsing the EA Battlefield Forums. PC players come in to the 360 discussion and try and troll. It's really sad.

So you'll get your commanding officer on the line and request cold hard cash to pay some random afghan for his cow? And he'll actually give you money? The only way that guy's getting paid is if the soldiers do it out of their own pockets.
Well that's if you want good relations with them. I mean, you can do what they did. Not long after that they struck a town and killed 5 civvies. They got ambushed a week after that.
