The first day of school is always the worst day of school.

I had to help my technologically illiterate mom fix our PVR. That was fucking fun. She kept pressing buttons a million times because something wouldn't load and then wondering why it wasn't working. She didn't even know where the power cable was for fucks sake.
Anyone find it ironic that the Russian Space Program outlived the US one?
Anyone find it ironic that people are getting really upset that the government is shutting down a program that hasn't really done anything since the 80s, but they don't care that we're spending like $70 million in Iraq every day
The first day of school is always the worst day of school.
I don't know, my first day was pretty awesome. On the note of school, how much homework do you guys usually get? First day I had to read 3 sections for geometry and a worksheet for German. Second day I had a biology lesson to do, do the problems from the first 3 geometry sections, another German worksheet, and an English essay. Third day (today) I have a biology essay, a German worksheet, and an English essay. I am a Freshman and this is a bit overwhelming.

It's just insane that I have ~2 hours of homework every night, plus I'm in the school band so we have rehearsals from 6-9 on Wednesday (today) but it's even worse for my girlfriend. She also does volleyball and basketball as well as band, plus has most of the classes that I do.
I never understood why people would purposely overload themselves like that by doing multiple extracurricular activities when they already have a shitload of homework.
I took all the easiest classes for a reason. I didn't do homework through Middleschool so my grades suffered enough that they assumed I had a learning disability so I got classes in High School that didn't require me to do any homework and I passed because the shit they teach in class I already knew so I got 100's on tests and shit. Best decision of my life right there. I have friends who take like all the Honors Advanced Placement Courses. Why the hell would they do that? I mean, Jesus they'd have to be retarded to put themselves through that bullshit.

Protip: Don't go to college.

That means one year and $15,000 saved, plus most of my classes first year were easy, as they were things I'd done before. In the real world, scraping by with the easiest work you can find doesn't get you anywhere. [editline]17th August 2011[/editline]
Protip: Don't go to college.
Unless you want one of the many jobs that pretty much requires an undergraduate degree. Good luck becoming a doctor or lawyer with a high school education, and have fun trying to become a computer programmer or engineer without a degree in an already-competitive market. Most big companies won't even scroll beyond education, your application goes right in the trash can so they can focus on the formally educated candidates.

Skipping college is like, the WORST decision you could make for life. Also, I can't become a doctor any other way.
The people in some of my classes are so stupid. For example, usually Freshman take algebra, but since I did that eighth grade, I'm in geometry. There are multiple Seniors that were actually held back in my geometry class. Also, the teacher is like 80 years old and acts like we are all kindergartners. She was explaining to us today about acute, right, obtuse, and reflex angles. I learned that crap in 6th, maybe 5th, grade.
Scholarships (I get $2k a year for having done robotics), exercise, experience, or fun.
Fun until you let your homework build up because you have no time, and then the day you have multiple assignments due you haven't even started them due to having no time due to dumb extracurricular activities.
Not so much skipping college, but just not getting any sort of special schooling. Hell even technical school or just getting a general degree will help to increase your quality of life ten fold.
