You'd hate Davis in California, so many cyclists there.
Oh come on, I live in Davis, California. There are actually more cyclists than drivers here. The bike lanes take up half the road. I am kinda guilty for cutting cars off on my bike, but I was in a hurry.
I have yet to meet one rude person in my town while riding my bike on the side walk most move out of the way and if not then I will just go on the road for a bit. Usually at stop signs most drivers will stop too far forward. If I wasn't being aware I could have been hit twice by now by a car. So what i'm trying to say is.. well I don't know.
Your father is an asshole.
He's a man of justice. [editline]10:07AM[/editline]
bicyclists are supposed to use the roads sidewalk is for people on foot
For sport cyclists, yes. For cyclists like this: No.
My bike is awesome. Pushbike with a 4 stroke, no need for a license as it doesn't count as a motorbike in Aus. Just follow normal bike laws and you're all good
fuck bicyclists they all drive in the middle of the fucking road like a car except they go 15 mph wearing their gay spandex covered in sponsors that aren't actually sponsoring them
I'm an avid cyclist, representing my state in national races in september. (In australia) by law we are allowed to occupy a lane if necessary. The whole bullshit argument that cyclists should pay taxes makes me laugh. We already pay taxes through income and Goods and Services Tax, registration adds only a fraction to the total tax income of the government. 15 mph? I want to see you try to sustain 15 mph for 4 hours. Yes, that means you have to get off your ass and actually do something... OUTSIDE.

In my town, we have a bike path for people who like to ride bikes. It's huge, it's several miles long, so they never have to stop. But noo, instead of going on the bike path, 50 bicyclists ride on the fucking street at 5 MPH and block a whole goddamned lane of fucking traffic because "The road belongs to everyone!" NO IT DOESN'T YOU FUCKING HIPPY
Usually bicyclist think that cars have some magic powered brakes and that they weight 10kg instead of 1500kg
bicyclists are supposed to use the roads sidewalk is for people on foot
Explain to me how I'm supposed to ride on the road when 1. There's a handful of bike lanes 2. Those handful of bike lanes have people with cars in 3. When I can get on the road I have to dodge said cars in the bike lane meaning I would have to either go into oncoming traffic or get into the middle of the road meaning if a car wants to get past me they can't. [editline]01:24PM[/editline]
Usually bicyclist think that cars have some magic powered brakes and that they weight 10kg instead of 1500kg
My dads truck can stop on a dime and that's a Hilux.
Being a cyclist myself, I am usually considerate to motorists, but if they aren't comsiderate to me, I will give them the finger. It works both ways, we all have the right to use the road.
As a driver I have found that my fellow motorists are bigger cocks on the road than people on bikes.

I wish I had a Schwinn bicycle. They're badass.
bicyclists are supposed to use the roads sidewalk is for people on foot
So you'd rather bicyclists drove on the road, slowing down traffic and causing traffic jams? When you get a car, I bet you will answer that they are supposed to use the sidewalks.
bicyclists are supposed to use the roads sidewalk is for people on foot
Doesn't work like that bro. Bicyclists (like me :frown:) can't use the roads safely because of the douchebags who drive there. We have a choice, use the road and risk getting knocked off by some moron in his "wicked" pimped out Ford Fiesta, or use the paths and not hit a single person. There are the odd idiot cyclist who won't pay attention to where the fuck they are going, but they are few and far between in my town, so i haven't had the chance to see one get destroyed by a car yet.

Remember kids keep a paintbull gun/paint can in your truck for shooting/tossing. It makes everyone happy <3
What part of CT you live in op? East haven here
I live in a "Historic" city which means we have shit like "HISTORIC TOURS ON A TROLLEY!" and horse drawn carriage rides through the city. Which is great if you're on a trolley or a horse carriage, but if you're just driving around trying to get somewhere these fuckers are incredibly aggrivating. The carriages are usually not too bad, they'll move to the side so you can pass them. The only problem with them is they literally go 3 or 4 mph which is understandable but it can be irritating. The fucking trolleys though. Holy shit I hate them. They drive like huge fucking cocks, they drive really slow because the tour guides talking about a building over yonder. They make no effort to accommodate normal traffic. One tour company's headquarters is right off the highway so the trolleys have to make a left turn past the exit ramp to get to their parking lot. This causes a huge shitstorm because you have these huge trolleys that will just go no matter what and end up getting stuck because they can't turn left into the lot and then the people coming off the exit ramp have to stop. Ugh I fucking hate trolleys.
Cyclists. It's CYCLISTS. Bicyclist is not a word. Where did this latest buggery of English originate?
I feel you OP I live in downtown austin and go to school downtown AND YOU FUCKING SLOW DOWN TO 20 GOD DAMN MILES PER A HOUR!
And people cycling really slow in the road needs to get out, use the sidewalk, idiots.
you do know that it's illegal to ride on the sidewalk and breakdown lanes, right? you're going to learn a lot when you take driver's ed in 2 years
ITT: People who have get misguided opinions about cyclists because of a few bad cyclists.
"ON YOUR RIGHT!" "No fuck you, on YOUR right!" *crash* broken arm :smith:
I wish I could ride on the sidewalks, but I have seen enough people charged for it that I should probably risk getting hit by cars on the road instead.
I'm an avid bicyclist, and I can assure you that the majority of cyclists out there are nowhere near this retarded. That guy was a douche, and should be kicked in the balls.
I recently had an experience with a bad biker, no accidents or anything but it was annoying as hell. The guy was in front of me and was riding a solid 4mph right in the middle of the lane. Personally, when I'm cycling I always hang as far to the right of the road as possible to let cars pass, and if the road's tight, which usually coincides with a small amount of traffic, I'll just pull over to let them pass. I figure it's easier to be nice than to have the entire road pissed off at me. :siren:Also, Sidewalks!:siren: I've just done some research and for those of you arguing about whether or not you can ride on sidewalks, the laws differ between state and city (for the U.S., no idea about the rest of you guys.) It looks like in general it's a no-no but there are plenty of places that allow it. If you're a cyclist it's probably best to check with the local DMV or police department.
I can't stop laughing at the guys that say it's illegal to ride on the sidewalks, and to get back in the street where they should be...Would you rather they get ran over? Take my truck as an example...It's a Half-ton 1977 stepside pickup truck...I'm going 40MPH down a street and a biker cuts out in front of me like a dumbass...I can lock up all 4 tires on that truck and still skid for half a block before i stop. Resulting in what exactly? A bloody, red, gory smear down the road and bicycle parts thrown all around...and even that won't stop my truck. I suggest you just stay the fuck on the sidewalk because i can't slow down to 4 MPH to avoid hitting you in .003 seconds...
"Her and I"? That's a new one.
Should be "Rant on Bicyclist" Share the road, mang
