It should and you might have to shave down the tabs on the back of the mags on the underside. That gun is a VFC clone and takes real steel handguards

The Dboys ones on GI are the steel versions. The RK-01 I bought is full steel and real wood.

Are you 100% sure they're all steel? I heard the ones without the "s" designation were still mostly steel, but i hate to risk otherwise. Basically, do dboys still have superior externals to newer cyma's? And are both mostly steel?

The only metal external part on the CM.040 that is not steel is the rear sight block, everything else is steel. I just took a motor and it stuck to everything but the rear sight block. I would definitely go with the CYMA, I am very happy with this gun.

The DBoys is going to have a non steel rear sight block and outer barrel. I haven't had my hands on the CM040 but I'd trust it and Catbarf's word

If you want the best externals, it's compatible with real steel rear sight blocks. Find yourself a rear sight block from a Hungarian AK ($40-50) and you're good to go.

It's going to be slow and sucky to close, but I don't see anything that uses snaps in that, aside from the pistol pouch.

He always said the Y harness they issued him with would let the belt slip around on either side. That's why he picked up a Vietnam harness and used that instead. He's still got it, I'm looking for pouches for it. Preferably ALICE.

Snap pouches are ok on chest rigs and vests but I think they're awful on suspender-belt kits. Perhaps if you put a lot of weight on it, or if it has kevlar inserts perhaps but otherwise I find it awkward and not very useful. I would suggest you scrap that kit and get a chest rig , 2-3 velcro mag pouches, a decently sized canteen/GP pouch and call it a day. But that's my two cents.
