The screw under the front sight and the swivel thing are the only two methods of getting the grips off that I know of. If you have the manual still, check that.
Are you sure you got the CYMA AK-101? Maybe you have the 74, 104 or 105.
The manual doesn't say a thing about any of that and the swivel thing doesn't move. There is a small bolt-like thing under the front sight, but I'm not sure if thats it.
I did some research and I got this: http://ultimak.com/AKStockR&R.htm#fore
Seems good, but it's for the actual gun, you think it'd work on an airsoft replica?

oh, I have the old version, that might be why.
The old version uses screws to hold the handguard on while the new version does it like a real AK.

Ok thanks.

Real Steel AK handguards usually fit on airsoft AK's, maybe with a bit of sanding and filing if you are unlucky, just keep in mind that stocks and pistol grips will not fit on airsoft AK's.

I'm not getting a real steel AK handgaurd I'm getting a Wooden Romanian handgaurd.

Real steel stocks fit with modifications on most airsoft AKs.

Real steel = airsoft term for stuff having to do with real firearms. They don't make steel AK handguards if that's what you're thinking.
Alright Rate me Agree if you think its a good idea to start an ACU colored loadout since I won the vest, Disagree if you think otherwise comments appreciated.
sell
or burn
Cut your skin off, it has been tainted by ACU.
ACU looks ok if you pull it off right
There's a 99.7% chance you will fail (although 28 weeks later and The Hurt Locker's main soldier character had p cool acu loadouts)
I did a shitty mock-up of what my AK-101 will look like with a Romanian Hangaurd and a wooden pistol grip:

I'm sure it will look better in real life, but still, looks pretty good. There wasn't an actual Romanian handgaurd on Pimp My Gun anyways, so it'll probably be a bit shorter, and won't look as weird.
waht the fucel
I did it in a minute to get a general idea on what it would look like, I see that it's pretty inaccurate now.
The barrel is in the wrong place... and where'd the damn gas block go
Also, purchased a full PLCE rig with canteen, mess tin, medkit, etc for $96
Shame the shipping is like $60 :smith:
Like i said, I made in it a minute to get a general idea.
If I get a G36C this summer, I might do a german loadout, somebody find me cheap german PLCE :v:
If they make that shit in OD and not just fleck, i'm all over it.

Well I kind of decided to sell it off and go towards something else looking at the OE Tech/Condor Plate Carrier to make a typical black loadout with the Tru Spec Combat Shirt, and an eye Tactical CM110. Somewhat based off the movie Rampage By Uwe Boll.

German webbing is cheap as fuck. Something like $20 for the whole set. Or you could do a KSK loadout with a tan CIRAS.
I checked ebay fast and I saw a full set for like, 70 bucks, not including shipping, where do I find this cheap german webbing? It seems a little more interesting than ALICE, as much as I do love my ALICE gear.
Do they make it in OD?

Jeremy Renner pulls off the ACU look all the time. I'm curious as to see what he's going to be dressed as in the new Jason Bourne movie.
Whenever my parents stop being retarded and let me get back into airsoft, this stuff:
LBV-88
Bulle Woodland MARPAT BDUs
Goggles (likely Arena Flakjaks or Desert Locusts)
Either a brassguard or an ironface
Weapons and shit:
Glock 18 mags
New AEG, likely a CA, KWA, G&G or VFC M4. G&P is also a possibility.
I'm also looking into another sidearm, ideally one that has SERPAs available. Likely a KJW Sig or G23.

Or perhaps german web gear?
I like to think of german webgear as the busty cousin of ALICE, just because I think it looks good with all the pouches on it, and the kidney packs look cool.
I didn't care for German web gear myself when I had it. Pouches are too damn slow to close securely, major draw back for me. Last thing I need is all my gear spilling out.
Rather go KSK, gear is easier for me to use and I don't fear losing mags, tools, etc.
Awesomesauce, I paid for my PLCE and it's all mine now :D
Only $10 left in my bank account though :v:
What's a good starter camo fatigue to get, and what gear should I get for my first big game?

Flecktarn and M81 are probably the cheapest camo patterns you can buy. A good cheap chest rig would be a Condor chest rig like this.
