Opinions wanted- currently trying to decide between a CYMA AK-74 and an AGM MP-44. I am in a position to get either for roughly equivalent price. Thoughts?
Get the CYMA AK-74, CYMA AK's are built like a rock and good for it's price.

Their legit too, I've ordered from them.
I kind of want to buy the Danish Flecktarn that site has.
Their legit too, I've ordered from them.
Unfortunately that's the only Japanese thing they've got and I'd never use it.
Holy shit, that's not a bad deal to build one. Reputable website?
I heard on RA that it's safe website to order from.

Good. I don't want to eventually buy my Digital Flora and maybe a Smersh from there only to get ripped off.
Sweet deal. Looks like I'm going to have a smersh soon then.

The AK goes with your STALKER loadout so much more.
Unless you have a Wehrmacht loadout :v:
hey, is that SKS pouch thing on that website all of the stuff in the image or just like a chest rig?
hey, is that SKS pouch thing on that website all of the stuff in the image or just like a chest rig?
"7 of the 12 items guaranteed to be different, the other items will be duplicates."
Everything in the picture apparently, with five duplicate items. So you can get two chest-rigs and like three bags and such.
So 20 bucks for 12 things of random shit?
Basically. I like the idea, because those kind of items I would use for a STALKER/Rebel loadout so everything would be mixed matched and random.
I'd so buy that
So which one, AK-101 with romanian handgaurd and wooden pistol grip or not?
With:
[img_thumb]http://gyazo.com/2794b714d05f86c71122293a30ceea33.png[/img_thumb]
Without:
[img_thumb]http://gyazo.com/db4dd4f267161fd13b2e373d83253626.png[/img_thumb]
Agree for with, disagree for without.
Alright I guess I'm going without the pistol grip, but It's still going to come with the order I'm ordering, but maybe i can sell it on ebay or something.
Fuck, if I have extra money, I might as well buy it and give some shit to Nivek for his AK, It doesn't hurt to have some extra gear lying around for me, either.

Well, I was thinking it goes either way- I mean, my STALKER loadout uses Flecktarn, suggesting a German origin. The STG is a decommissioned German assault rifle, so it's exactly the kind of thing a civilian might take with him to the Zone. Not quite as fitting as the AK necessarily, but it still works. Plus there's the whole whoah-an-airsoft-gun-that-isn't-an-M16-or-AK factor. Gonna take some time to decide.
(also, I have a hard-on for WW2 German technology)
Re: Wehrmacht loadout- don't tempt me to start another project. I still need a P90 to complete the Stargate loadout.
Edit: What do you think about this? I prefer the synthetic stock and furniture, but it is significantly cheaper and I'd rather not buy something I end up replacing soon.
Edit 2: Holy shit. I just realized that your STALKER-esque loadout is the one that inspired me to build my own in the first place. I checked my inbox, and sure enough, I still have the message from you from when I asked where you got the coat, long before coming to RIT. Small world. I've got some questions, please PM me your Steam (and/or Facebook) info.

I had a CYMA AK-74 full stock for around 3 years (During which it saw pretty extensive use) until I traded it to a buddy. Still shoots great and it was bone stock as far as I know.

My steam account name is Knockmeout99 and my SF name is Timebomb. Assuming you are tagged in the HvZ minigame pictures Ill send you a friend request :v:
Well, just ordered a CYMA AK and a CA P90 from Airsoft GI. I used Paypal, so the process went nice and smooth. Then I ordered some magazines from something called Airsoft Megastore. Payment via credit card declined. Not so smooth. Tried again, may have worked- my bank statement shows that the first was deducted then reversed, but the second has been deducted but not reversed. The only worrisome aspect is that I haven't received a confirmation email or anything.
I wish more stores would accept Paypal, it's a hell of a lot easier than dealing with individual payment clients.

Nope, didn't work. Goddamnit. Anyone have recommendations for AK74 magazines? I'd rather not use the 47 mags.

Don't bother with a wehrmacht loadout unless you have A LOT of money. The guns are pricey and the gear is expensive as hell. I have had the misfortune of being caught halfway through such a project. So now I am going to sell what I have and form a new loadout project.
Seite König!

Megastore uses paypal you know...
Megastore uses paypal you know...
Are you sure? I don't see it listed as a payment option, the only one it gives me is 'Credit Card'. To clarify I am trying to order from their site, I heard they have/had an eBay store but can't seem to find it.

Airsoft Megastore is generally regarded as terribad, just FYI.
I would recommend some MAG midcaps if they are your thing. Pretty much any Hicap should work decently.
Airsoft Megastore is generally regarded as terribad, just FYI.
I heard as much, but from what I can tell they're the only store that has AK74 mid/highcaps in stock for ~$15. AirsoftGI only has lowcaps for $15 and highcaps for $25+. I figured that if I'm just buying mags, cheap guns wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Who said that? Me and Deathmog have no problems.
I just wish they took Paypal. As an avid eBay user I find it far easier to just give Paypal my credit card info once and then be able to buy anything with, like, three clicks, instead of having to type everything out to each merchant independently and then deal with crap like this.

I don't know. It's definitely targeted at younger players, and the website's tone is not very professional at all - but they seem to be responsible and trustworthy with the higher-end guns and accessories they sell. Their videos are pretty well-produced as well.

That can't be any worse than the Palco Sports commercials.

They're like bad pornos.
ASMS uses paypal, that's how I paid every time, I've never had problems from them. the only problem I had with them was that I ordered a 1400 mah battery and got a 1600 mah :v:
[editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
They're aimed towards more the newer players, but they do have some higher end stuff, plus they have more mags in their selection than GI AFAIK.
