Get tightbore for your G3, the bucking and an optic. You'll be much happier than with a BAR-10 It's what I'm going to do with my M14, make a DMR.

ARES is great if: A. It comes functioning. B. You can fix it if it breaks. Luckily I can meet both of those requirements and I'm repaid with a pretty high performing neat gun.

ARES guns are a pain in the ass because the gearboxes are zombie contraptions that use a lot of specific, special made parts that only ARES has. The TAR 21 uses M249 trigger contacts as an example of the zombie gearbox. It's just a bunch of different parts cobbled together.
