where have you been
e1 contracts cyma/jg/well/whatever to build guns for them, slaps a madbull bucking in them, and sends them off for $30 more and a warranty
source?
dude echo 1 has been rebranding since like
forever
source?
You're almost retarded if you don't know this.
I've not seen a fucking word that says so now is it such a problem that I want to know why everyone is just yelling shit without telling me where they got it from?
I know their "A.S.C" line is rebranded D-boys
regardless if it is true then i'll think i'll go with something else as most of the jg products i've seen/used have questionable quality.
well afaik ECHO 1 inspects their JG shit and replaces some of the weaker parts for better parts
source?
my source is that I've had both and Echo 1 M4 and a JG M4 at the same time, and they're identical except the echo 1 has trademarks
My JG M16 and my friend's Echo 1 M4 also had the same markings on the gearbox. And the exact same motor. And the exact same wiring. And they both came with the exact same battery.

You shouldn't purchase anything through Echo 1; it's a massive waste of money and your money supports shady business practices. You definitely shouldn't pay $19 for a plastic foregrip, and you probably shouldn't be using hi-cap magazines. The battery is a decent value, but the wall charger that comes with the G36c will only output 8.4v or 8.5v at maximum and won't be able to charge a 9.6v. If you have a smart charger (or a stronger charger) already, there's no issue.
The gun itself is fine, but you can purchase the same thing (the direct-from-china version) for $125 - basically 25% off right there.

Personally I would just buy the JG G36c through Evike by itself (with free shipping), as that's an excellent value and it already comes with the accessories you need. Then you could save shiploads by snooping around classified airsoft ads on the internet - plastic foregrips like that one usually go for dirt cheap, one seller basically included it in my purchase for free. Evike is useful as a product catalog of what airsoft items exist, but they make a lot of their profit by marking up small accessories like sights, foregrips, their smart charger, etc.
I might buy a G&P 2 x Magnifier but I have no idea how to detach the front lens cover of my red dot, which must be done in order to attach the magnifier.

also some walking boots but they're also for actually walking in so
Hopefully be trading a utg sniper for a HFC mac 11 with two mags.

Your getting Jipped.

$85 USD
Also I'm a bit new to airsoft but my friend are pressuring me into it.
So I wanted to start with something like this.

I have a smart charger, but I guess I could save by going JG and get some midcaps, though I don't really prefer it since they are more expensive

I would advise getting this instead

M16A4 BECAUSE I AM UNORIGINAL.
And Yes rails because I can't stand the grip on the A2

Open the gun up and look at any of the innards besides sometimes the gearbox shell. They have stamps from JG, CYMA, DBoys etc.

Again, accessories like midcaps will be expensive if you buy them through Evike's web store. For example, just a few minutes ago a seller posted this:
http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/FS-8-MAG-midcaps-Madbul-t228774.html
Eight midcaps for $45 shipped. The same product purchased brand new from Evike is a "meh" value, and that price is before shipping.
Midcap magazines are generally cheaper than hi-caps. Here's an example, even from Evike.

The midcap design is simpler and overwhelmingly more reliable. Plus...hicaps are, well, hicaps. Personally I find winding hi-cap magazines to be in the same league as low-end clear Crosman AEGs in terms of class and maturity.

i dont browse airsoftforum and i really don't like going through the hassle of paying the same shipping price to someone who will take a week to ship it where I could have it in a week from evike. i don't trust non-retailers because most of the time they get sold so cheap is because theres something wrong or theres a catch to it.

regardless those arent even mk36 mags.
Looks good to me. Except for the sling, but you're going to have this issue with just about any sling on the G36. The sling mount at the hinge of the stock is very small, most slings can't clamp through it. I recommend just getting either a zip tie or a key ring on there first, then attaching your sling to that. Works for both of my G36's.
You may have problems fitting a 9.6v mini in the C length handguard. I remember the older JG G36C had sort of a plastic bracket that prevented a 9.6v from fitting in there correctly. That's why I prefer the K length. Longer barrel and handguard, more battery space, less hassle.
Don't let these guys harass you about hicap mags. I've used plenty of them for years. Some people say they barely go through 2 hicaps in a day. I on the other hand can go through 2 hicaps on semi auto in less than 15 minutes. It all depends on where you play and how many people are out there, along with your style of play.
For starters, stick with the hicaps until you know what may and may not at your field. If you're playing with 200+ people in 2+ hour long games, hicaps start sounding like a good idea.

The K lengths were out of stock, I was looking for one too because a bipod would fit much better on that, but since I couldn't find one, I went with the gripod. If there is a problem fitting the battery, I always have my favorite dremel to use. At my field I usually play at events where its like 100+ people, I was fine with 4 midcaps, and those were only 75 BB's a piece. I think I'll be fine with 1 hicap and 3 mids that have a higher capacity than my old mids.
[editline]15th September 2011[/editline]
a good advantage of having the c length is that I don't have to worry about wackin shit when I go around corners. that was a big problem with my m4. lots of open space and tight space at my field.
jaygee Ks and full-lengths are in stock

on asgi lol
Does anyone know if I can get a better deal on one of these? I DO NOT want the rail mount. Just ring mounts
http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=32_575&products_id=25588
Also, does anyone have a good recommendation of an optic to mount on it? I am using this on a carbine-length AR.

Carbine length AR? How long is your inner barrel?
11.5 inches.
I'm pretty sure any other 3x9-40 scope will work for you, lol. It's an airsoft gun, anything with a higher magnification, you'll be seeing things you can't hit.
EDIT: Wait, are you planning to use this as a DMR or what? Why not just get a red dot?
I was debating whether to get a red dot or a low power scope. Hence the word "optic". I'm not really good with optics manufacturers, what would be the best one for a ring-mounted red dot sight.
Aimpoint
