You clearly does not know that cartoon and anime are not the same thing
Lol wat, anime is cartoons
This looks incredibly silly.
Different genres.
The style reminds me a bit of Lupin III.
If you have even watched the trailer above rather than just jumping in this thread as a bandwagoner, the style of art looks NOTHING like the Japanese style of anime, but more like an American cartoon.
Are you serious

This doesn't strike you as an anime looking villan?
You clearly does not know that cartoon and anime are not the same thing
Hey B1N4RY!
No one cares.
I don't know why people hate anime. It's just cartoons.

Faces, eyes, voices, etc.
You clearly does not know that cartoon and anime are not the same thing
Yes they are.
Faces, eyes, voices, etc.
Because cartoons are meant to depict people in real life?
Not my problem.
Just pointing out facts.
It's not like other cartoons don't have exaggerated features. But I can understand that people dislike anime being that a lot of anime is filled with fan service to please the lonely population of Japan. However, there is a significant amount of good anime out there. This could have potential, disregarded FABULOUS VILLAIN.

It has created and helped to produce many well known shows, starting with TV anime series Ace o Nerae! in 1973, and including western favourites Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Trigun and Di Gi Charat.
They shall be working with Marvel Animation to create adaptations of Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men and Blade due for release in 2010.[3] 2010 saw the publication of Devil, a manga intended specifically for the American market; the property is a collaboration with Dark Horse Comics, and is written and drawn by Torajiro Kishi.
If you think anime is a bad art style then you haven't been watching cartoon network lately. The shit that passes off as entertainment on that channel is mind numbing.

No, it's a word meaning Japanese animation.
It just coincides that many anime series have shitty styles.

Thankfully I never had cable or any sort of digital TV so I never saw cartoon network, but from the stuff that I've seen of it in recent years, yes, that shit is awful. Never been a fan of the Cartoon Network 'art style' myself, even though I loved Dexter's Lab and Fairly Odd parents.

I will relent and say that I liked that bit of the film, however for every decently drawn anime, there's something like this, or derivatives which are less extreme but still retarded.

But it's just such a good example. Regardless, I'll expand. Horrific framerates, horrible facial design, Hair inbetween realistic, cartoony, and emo, a really annoying blurry visual effect (I don't know how to explain it, it's a bit like bloom, a bit like lens flare, and perhaps blur as well) which seems to be present in a fuckload of animes. Annoying scenes where the camera just pans around a still picture, inability to draw moving backgrounds, retarded characters and storylines, bad/annoying translations, I can go on, the list is nearly endless. Show me one anime series without those, plus a decent drawing style without hopelessly androgynous characters and revolting eyes, and I will renounce everything I have ever said against anime as a whole.

Paranoia Agent.
Also Cowboy Bebop, though I only watched two episodes.

It's like using My Little Pony as an example of why American cartoons suck.

I'd personally say it reminds me more of Ghost in the Shell, but that's just me. Now that they've brought up that the same guy worked on Trigun I'm starting to see the similarities.
I like how everyone uses that as the reason they hate anime.
I can see why, that's quite possibly one of the most over-rated pieces of dull uninteresting shit I've ever had the misfortune of watching.
"Oh, but it gets better half-way through because they switched directors!"
Bullshit, I noticed NO difference between the sack of shit first-half and the bag of shit second half in terms of how coma-inducingly stupid it was.
Also, who the fuck is the blonde in the trailer? If it's supposed to be Pepper Pots, isn't she a red-head?

It's an acquired taste I guess. Also, like in everything else, you need to sort the exceptional from the majority of mundane and uninteresting series.
This isn't a rebuttal because you're right for the most part.
could be worse than gotham knight
Hey, Gotham Knight was pretty kickass.
Except for like, two of them where Batman looked like a fucking gothy teenager. Fuck me.
Which is why this Iron man one pisses me off. Iron Man doesn't fight angsty teens.

Why does animation have to be smooth to be good?
What do you mean by horrible facial design? I agree that the standard emo teen template is over used, but it's not like there's no variation.
I don't know what the fuck you're on about.
Nobody draws moving backgrounds, what are you talking about? Backgrounds are usually paintings, it would cost ungodly amounts of money to animate backgrounds.
How can you apply "bad story lines" to an entire facet of a genre? That's like saying "I don't like drawings because they're ugly".
Animatrix dood.
It looks like it's completely against everything that Iron Man is, yet it's still friggin' awesome
It looked like it could have potentially been good all the way up to 1:09.
Then it turned into every other goddamn anime ever made.
With the usual goddamn magic robot Nazis.
I can only imagine what kind of monstrosity they created with Stark...
