This is amazing.
This looks amazing, it's kinda funny, i'm working on making a Daft Punk helmet right now (just started) This just motivates me even more to build it better.
If you would have never said that was paper, I would have thought you crafted it out of metal.
the war torn look is sick!
Damn that looks really nice. I've always wanted to make a pepakura armor set, it just looked really difficult to do. How was the learning curve for you? I've been wanting to make a set of mando.
The learning curve wasn't so bad, but I'm pretty intuitive and stuff. it's more annoying than difficult really.
I still have a pepakura daft punk helmet laying around somewhere, that never made it past the paper stage.
Alright so long time no update eh? School had been crazy for a long time and I sort of ran out of money, but now I'm starting up some more work! I had never sewn before, but had to get a vest sewn in a canvas like material so I went ahead and tried it... not too happy with the angle of the shoulders but I think with armor on them they'll work better. Speaking of shoulders, Here's my WIP ones, they need a bit of work Just south of the shoulders are the knees, sorta, so here one is, heavy WIP. Knees made from 4 inch PVC couplers cut in half and heated with a blow torch and shaped. Here's one I haven't finished yet because my dremel cutting wheel broke... sad day, but you get the idea of how they're made. SO on the vest I still have to dye it a darker color, attach velcro for the back closure, and for armor attachment.
Your weathering is amazing
Somebody tell me there are pictures of the whole costume put together
This would be severely disappointing if he never finished it.
I'm sure I've seen these same photos on Instructables, might be a complete outfit there.
Oh, so he's too good for us now? That motherfucker.
I've got a hard on for that finishing work.
Didn't think anyone was still looking at this thread haha! No I never finished this costume, but I did add a few things to the helmet like these kill stripes. I also made an entirely new set of more traditional mandalorian armor. Sadly I went off to college and no longer had time or money to work on this build. Hopefully one day I'll have a full set put together to show off. I am incredibly grateful for all the people giving their support for my work!
