It's one thing to be a smartass sovereign citizen, but it's genuinely worse to act like a total dick around cops.
I'd find it hard to believe that this guy won't change his attitude when his house gets robbed, or he wakes up to find his car missing.
Not enough information on what was going on before the video, so it's hard to tell if this guy was trying to get a rise out of them or not.
Why are so many people straight out assholes to cops? They're just people doing their jobs
Because of incidents were some cops are straight assholes to people or trying straight up to harass people on social media when they should be doing their job. The latter being my experience with one cop recently who thought it would be funny to ask his dumbass friends to repeatedly add me and several family members on facebook because I disagreed with him on politics.
I will say not all cops are assholes and I've met a good number of cops that honestly took their work to heart. The guy in the video is an asshole toward them however.
a comment of his from the video

and he has many more uploads of his confrontations with the police. randomly asking people to show what is in their bag is not a good thing for the police to be doing, but there does appear to be a history here
something tells me this is just another one of those types that make it their mission to be dicks to cops with their phone always in hand always recording. Like those people who walk around with a rifle slinged on their back on the highway waiting for a cop to show up and ask 'what are you doing' and then they go off about having their rights be oppressed.
Shit son be nice to cops and they'll be nice back, there are assholes in every group, but be nice and listen and you'll be fine 9/10 times. I'm used to philly cops that are usually very very nice, i've even talked my way out of a few situations just by being friendly and responsive. Sometimes walked away laughing with a cop, like the time i got stopped rolling a cigarette and a cop hassled me thinking it was me rolling a joint. I knew what it looked like i just stopped what i was doing, handed it to the cop explained it was tobacco and even showed him the bag of loose tobacco i had. We both walked away laughing and him saying 'shit i was thinking to myself what the hell is this whiteboy doing rolling a joint in the middle of the sidewalk'
I'm not sure why everyone is criticizing the guy so heavily. The full video really makes it seem like they had nothing on the guy and that's why they fucked off after he mentioned it. You don't have to be a sovereign citizen nutjob to feel violated by a cop randomly stopping you and trying to go through your personal belongings. Not to mention, this is the NYPD, where stop and frisk was a big controversy only a couple years ago. But nah, he's an asshole because he called a cop a nigga :downs:

You're right because it's obviously ok to go on your little rant even after they've walked off.

Jeez, I'd be a little mad too if this happened to me more than once, in a city where this kind of repetitive profiling occurs frequently. You act like this verbal frustration is some sort of crime. Again, the NYPD has a history of shitty practices that can put a lot of the people living there at odds with the police. This isn't some punk ass kid getting pissed because he got caught speeding by highway patrol, it's a guy being harassed by a police force that carries a bit of infamy for being shady in some of their practices.
