Wait a minute, Why would a silurian speak english even to the people who HADN'T Been in the tardis?
Why would the Zycorax speak English to Harriet Jones in the 1st Christmas special?
Seems to just be proximity to the Doctor that controls the translation.

:ssh:
Let's just assume proximity to the doctor can sometimes cause the translation effect, Though an interesting consequence of that would be if he, goes to a population center, (London, Pompeii, Paris, Etc.) people would be able to understand each other despite language barriers, which would just be weird.
That or silurians inexplicably know english.

Doesn't it look like more or less the same crack? There isn't much variation in it at all.
Also: They're all near to or inside the TARDIS (Except the unconfirmed one in the sky)

Thats the point
Apparently the crack is somehow related to the crack in the TARDIS
Bit of my fanfic frantically typed up, it helps if you listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fr-HqDfkQoQ while reading
The 11th Doctor leapt off the roof of the hospital, clinging to the flying Tardis, frantically using the sonic screwdriver, Before it swung towards a chimney, narrowly avoiding smashing him into it, The doors fell open as he used the sonic screwdriver once again, Flames shot out of the console as the heart of the Tardis began to break out from underneath the panels, Fire shot towards the Doctor before he used the sonic screwdriver again to close the doors, Before hanging on for dear life. "GERONIMO!" He yelled as it smashed into the side of a small cottage chimney, throwing him off completely into the nearby cornfield.
A golden light emenated from his hands and face. "No.. Not now! I was just getting used to this..." He said, in sorrow. As massive bursts of energy shot out of his hands and face, igniting some of the rows of corn. He screamed out in agony as his face and body reshaped completely, Into a new, Twelfth Doctor.. As the Tardis shot towards the nearby town of Shoaldale. A man came out into the field, to investigate the small flames flickering..
I actually thought the crack was the wound on the old mans shoulder.... Looks like a crack to me.
I actually thought the crack was the wound on the old mans shoulder.... Looks like a crack to me.
Nah, it's some form of toxin that's going to make him kill the Silurian as she predicted (or at least that's my theory)
I didn't really like this episode. Amy didn't really fully trust the Doctor even after the weeping angels. Yet these people seem to trust him immediately
Was anyone else really disappointed with the Silurians?
They've become another generic "actor with facepaint"

I want my goddamn fishmen back.

They're a subspecies, apparently
Lame excuse.
We've seen other subspecies of silurians before and they still looked like lizard monsters.

mmm good point, but I guess if they've lived under humans for centuries...nah you're right, they humanised them.
I hope they bring back other nice silurians though.
I hope that scientist women that went down to the Silurian city won't become a companion. She annoys me a fuckton.
Also, I imagined they trusted him as a sort of stockholm syndrome thing, without the robbery.
the putty what the fuck is your avatar if you don't mind me asking

Also, someone has to make a strip similar to Horatio but with Matt Smith's new sunnies.
