The black team is called "The Rising Sun".
I like how the one guy is standing still, arms at his side, looking at the camera.
I remember all the negative hype when Smith was first shown... Everyone was like 'He looks like a twit.' I wish I had started earlier than Tennant's clockwork people episode, so I could have seen the negative hype for Tennant. [editline]07:33PM[/editline] Nothing against David btw, every Doctor's great in their own way.
And it's mine to give tips in my TIPDIS
It's my job to lay tar down in the road with my Tardis.
Is that entire town made of four people? Where are other survivors? Why build a church for a mining village? Where is the priest?
1) They all travel in, and Its never stated what time it is, it could be early morning hence why only a couple are there 2) The Church was probably from when the village was much larger and had more than a hand full of people living there. People moved away and the need to have Priest no doubt became less and less necessary.

Is that entire town made of four people? Where are other survivors?

Silly, there was a super pandemic of SwineBirdFluSARSAIDS in 2018 which wiped out most of the world's population. Hence why it's so quiet.
Fridge horror: Remember that Sally Sparrow had taken pictures of the Angels, then gave those pictures to the Doctor, which are now IN THE TARDIS!
Fridge horror: Remember that Sally Sparrow had taken pictures of the Angels, then gave those pictures to the Doctor, which are now IN THE TARDIS!
And also, they can't have been the ones that sent The Doctor back in time - because he didn't know the rule about photos back then!

World turned upsidedown, monsters crawling out of the earth. WHAT ABOUT MY HEADPHONES! He's dyslexic, so he might be retarded as well.

Were you paying attention at all? He may be dyslexic, but he's also been established as one of the smartest characters in the episode. Watch him introducing Rory to the grave again. This is a shit plot device, that's all.
crap episode in my opinion. It took the mother like 10 minutes to realise her son was missing. Just stupid.
What? She got back to the Church, immediately noticed her son wasn't there, and started asking questions. Where's this imaginary 10 minute gap you've pulled out your ass?
Fridge horror: Remember that Sally Sparrow had taken pictures of the Angels, then gave those pictures to the Doctor, which are now IN THE TARDIS!
They were scavengers they didn't have that ability.
I don't understand how they got a 21km long drill :sigh:
Havn't the Silurians appeared in earlier series? I can't remember which one, but i've definately seen them before
Havn't the Silurians appeared in earlier series? I can't remember which one, but i've definately seen them before
Pertwee and Davison. Not since
I don't understand how they got a 21km long drill :sigh:
It's probably shorter than that, it just drills down on it's own.
I don't understand how they got a 21km long drill :sigh:
It is most likely cut in sections which are added to the end the more the drill digs down.
Did i see her underwear? And did the guy say [SP]They dissected me?[/SP]
Wait. How big is the earth? Why do I get the feeling that 21, 000 KM would have gone straight through the earth and into space?
Wait. How big is the earth? Why do I get the feeling that 21, 000 KM would have gone straight through the earth and into space?
You daft fool. 21KM not 21000KM.
-snip-

To me, it felt like they were just stretching it out, and that the two parter really could have been a one-parter. It's like they're trying to hook ratings with a cliffhanger. Also the aliens looked stupid. They really should've made some kind of mask.
Yeah, silurians kinda sucked...
I wish BBC didn't own Doctor Who; the budget limitations really piss me off. The Silurians look shit, imagine how good Doctor Who could be if it were given a larger budget like shows such as CSI Miami.
It wouldn't be Doctor Who if it had a huge budget.
I don't understand how they got a 21km long drill :sigh:
Mining Drills in holes that are deeper than 1km tend to be built to allow sections of drill area to be lifted onto the top via the use of a crane. The deepest part of any crush in a non-ocean area is about 50km. 21 isn't that far.
I remember all the negative hype when Smith was first shown... Everyone was like 'He looks like a twit.'
I called him much worse than that. Which i fully take back now.

They really should've made some kind of mask.
Silurian stories are notorious for being slow to begin but then they really pick up. Before finishing up with a huge moral message that really makes the viewer think. In all of them The Doctor has found a method of peace, and nearly accomplishes it. It often ends with complete death on both sides. And they aren't aliens. Technically they aren't Silurians either. They are part of the same family of creatures but they are no way the same. The Doctor actually mentions the species name, all three of them. Originally this episode was very different. The scene with the ground opening actually had a giant lizard creature smash out of the ground, roll up into a ball and smash everything before taking Amy. The Silurians looked more like the original monsters. These were changed as the budget couldn't do it, and they wanted the Silurians to look more human so they can: A) show emotion easier B) Let the viewer relate to them C) To stress how similar they are to us. [editline]09:14PM[/editline] Fun fact: The scene with the breaking ground was filmed on Matts birthday. They gave him a cartoon drawing of himself which looked awesome.

I get where you are coming from but, i think that Doctor who going to a commercial network would kill it.
