In [I][URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/The_Eleventh_Hour"][COLOR=#0066cc]The Eleventh Hour[/COLOR][/URL][/I], there was one on Amy's wall, and one with a similar shape on the TARDIS television, in which the Doctor looked at it worryingly and quickly turned the screen off. A third crack was seen at the end of [I][URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/The_Beast_Below"][COLOR=#0066cc]The Beast Below[/COLOR][/URL][/I] on the side of the United Kingdom space ship. The fourth one can be seen at the end of [I][URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Victory_of_the_Daleks"][COLOR=#0066cc]Victory of the Daleks[/COLOR][/URL][/I] on the wall behind the [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/TARDIS"][COLOR=#0066cc]TARDIS[/COLOR][/URL] right as it disappears.
The crack plays a major role in [I][URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Flesh_and_Stone"][COLOR=#0066cc]Flesh and Stone[/COLOR][/URL][/I], appearing inside the [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Byzantium_(ship)"][COLOR=#0066cc]Byzantium[/COLOR][/URL] in the 51st century, larger than ever, and prompting the Doctor to begin investigating it. The crack is connected to a history-ending, Big Bang-scale temporal explosion, on 26.06.2010, probably at Amy's wedding. It's leaking time energy into the universe, which causes people and events to be erased from history, leaving no traces of their existence except in the memories of time travelers. Events erased from time by the crack involve the events of present day happenings of the Russel T. Davies era, although not all have been confirmed to have gone. This may create certain paradoxes, such as the [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Donna_Noble"][COLOR=#0066cc]Donna Noble[/COLOR][/URL] never leaving the TARDIS and the [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Tenth_Doctor"][COLOR=#0066cc]Tenth Doctor[/COLOR][/URL] never regenerating. It is possible that later Series 5 episodes will reveal how these things still happened. The Doctor was able to close the crack by feeding it an army of [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Weeping_Angel"][COLOR=#0066cc]Weeping Angels[/COLOR][/URL] (because they are complicated space-time events), but this was only temporary.
The crack made two appearances towards the end of [I][URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/The_Vampires_of_Venice"][COLOR=#0066cc]The Vampires of Venice[/COLOR][/URL][/I] amongst the storm clouds, and shortly afterwards. It also appeared in [I][URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Amy%27s_Choice"][COLOR=#0066cc]Amy's Choice[/COLOR][/URL][/I] on the TARDIS scanner as the Doctor identifies the [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Cold_star"][COLOR=#0066cc]Cold star[/COLOR][/URL] as the deadly danger in one of the realities (see [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Time_Field#Time_Field_Gallery"][COLOR=#0066cc]here[/COLOR][/URL] for photos of all appearances to date).
The crack next appeared towards the end of [I][URL="http://www.facepunch.com/wiki/Cold_Blood"][COLOR=#0066cc]Cold Blood[/COLOR][/URL][/I] during Rory's death scene. Look at the shard of TARDIS. Notice it is kind of framed. Look at the TARDIS. The poster that says "POLICE TELEPHONE BOX". Their is a space between the poster and the frame.

Now, here I start to see what you're getting at, but there is an indentation on the poster's right hand side that is easily seen in the second picture under Matt's hand. the only reason that it looks more framed is because of the black burn marks highlighting the ridge.

Reading too much into it, imo. Its a prop. Its a fantastic plot but no way could there be that much attention to detail.
Also on the back, there's blue on the sides but I think on the back its just charred.
I thought it was remains of the old wreck, wasn't 100% sure though

It never was the look. It was just a publicity shot.
When he was announced they hadn't filmed anything, they didn't need too as they still had a year left to film.
But his original costume had a red pirate coat.
