I'd just like to point out this isn't a free game, it's paid for by the UK TV license tax. Everyone in the UK that pays TV licence tax has, in part, paid to play this game. I don't pay for the TV licence cause I don't have a TV :P
Just completed it. I'll write up a review tomorrow. But in general it was pretty good. My main dislikes are the Drag-and-drop puzzles/the tediousness of the loading times. [editline]01:12AM[/editline] Also the music sounds can be opened in Audacity.
Watching Anthony Ainly talk about his time as The Master. Video from 1991. He was asked how he feels if Survival is his last ever episode. "I want to bring you an exclusive. In the august we are bringing you 28 episodes of The Maste- The Doctor."
I was thinking of being a bastard and editing the "Amy can you give me a hand" Sound into something simply edited yet really dirty. What i was going to edit in begins with a J.
"Don't give up on us Beeb Beeb Not now we come so far. That Sophie, so such a big star. She's also very lovely and awful nice to Noel Don;t give up on us Beeb Beeb. Give us back our Shooooooow. Give us back our show." - Anothny (the Master) on missing Doctor Who. He would have loved 2005!
I really hated the fact London wasn't shown in its full apocalyptic glory. Weren't we also shown a quadbike we could ride in the VoTD trailer for it?
I wanted to learn the notes to the theme tune, kinda half got there but got distracted and made this. Not amazing but I think the dis-chord and quickly paced notes fits the new Dr's character quite well. Whovian - Here
[sp]When the daleks went nuts and just started blind firing and the music kicked in. :q:[/sp]
Spoiler tags. Child.
Child?
Also the game folder has all the music. But no idea what I need to open OGG files :/
.ogg files can be opened in any decent audio player, but if you're still using an outdated, poor media player, you can grab a codec for Ogg Vorbis files here: http://www.vorbis.com/
FUUUUU- I don't want to waste my money on a game that is free in the UK. [editline]04:32AM[/editline]
For all you people that aren't in the UK but want to play the game, but can't be arsed with fucking with proxies, I copied the download link from the BBC site: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk.edgesuite.net/doctorwho/theadventuregames/download/cityofthedaleks/2269b06e4f9fa5abb658e0d9d320d28d/Installer-CityoftheDaleks.exe
Aww man I LOVE YOU.
Fantastic game! I am excited to see what is in store for the other 3 adventures.
Dang this game was good, I thought it'd be crappy, But i was wrong. Can't wait for the others.
Had a look at some videos, and the quality of the graphics bugs me a bit, especially in the opening thing that misses the lightning sounds
I like it, Since i always wanted to hear one without lighting.
This game is just embarrassing. But its a bit fun, I admit.
The animation is shoddy and it makes you appreciate how much Matt and Karen bring to their roles when they can physically do it, because I imagine most lines would have been said differently in an actual episode "Theirs no such thing as a sexy drummer" "Ah yeah I never thought of that but then again why would I?" They kinda read their lines a bit too dramatically. But it amused me. And the story was perfect, better than a lot of television episodes. [editline]10:04AM[/editline] I really wish the show had a bigger budget so we could do stories like this! [editline]10:13AM[/editline] The reason the crack isn't in this episode is because it is set after the series finale. [sp]So nothing happens to Amy, The TARDIS or The Doctor[/sp]

[sp]So nothing happens to Amy, The TARDIS or The Doctor[/sp]
Yeah, I did really appreciate the story, it was a classic Who story for sure. Nothing weird or wrong about it. Also I like how its set on an alien planet as right now, the number of alien planets Matt Smith has been to numbers 3 in his first series, which is, to be frank, a little pitiful.
Just finished the game, it was a bit buggy in some parts (for some reason Amy got stuck spawning next to one of those plant things, so I had to restart it from Act 3) but other than that, it was a pretty damn good story, and kind of fun as well :v:
I like it, Since i always wanted to hear one without lighting.
The Beast Below did it, well it toned down the effects.
Why does morgan freeman have a huge penis?
Aha, was browsing through someone i know's picture album on facebook and found this: and Funny coincidence, i'll let you figure it out.
It's not exact, but it's still rather odd.
[del]Seems the UK IP check is currently returning TRUE for everyone. Go download/install the game, people![/del]
I might actually play the game again. [editline]03:08PM[/editline] Either that or slit my wrists or play Postal 2. [editline]03:28PM[/editline] Here's my short review: Alright so as it starts it's a classic doctor who intro, In the tardis, Exit, Wrong time/messed up time. Good so far. Animation's a bit wonky. The sneaking scenes are very good and remind me of MGS, It even has a catchy alert tune! The minigames are pretty good and flow into the game well(I hated the drag-drop through maze though. especially how it resets if you messed up.) The game took me a good 2 hours because i died alot, It was pretty good. Although i would prefer if the game was longer, But it was really good, It only took me 5 minutes to DL, and takes up a miniscule place on my HDD. Overall it was pretty good. Reminded me of a Doctor Who story. 8/10 [editline]03:29PM[/editline] Also, [sp]The ending and the heroic music oh my god brilliant[/sp]
Oh, this is great. There's some brilliant music and sound effects in .ogg in the game's data folder.
Oh, this is great. There's some brilliant music and sound effects in .ogg in the game's data folder.
Oh yeah, thanks haha!
[sp]There are cyberman sound effects in the sounds folder...later episode?[/sp] I'm pretty impressed with it so far.
