Needs more of a buildup for the drop, in my opinion.
Whaa?
He means it's missing an integral part of dubstep, the 2 step beat Still, I dig it. I'm inspired to start up Ableton again and get back into my music "career"
When the second part ends, make it so its a more epic drop into the third part, right now it just seems like it ends abruptly. Nevertheless, I have been listening to this all morning and I can't stop. Its amazing.
I'm still amazed by the reception! You guys have inspired me to man up and start really working at improving my skills instead of being a baby and whining about how much I suck. Also, I'm gonna take these suggestions about the drops to heart, and work at that.
Dope shit, bro. I'm digging it a lot, please continue with it.
Not much of a dubstep listener but I thought it was fucking amazing.
how do you do this shit, i really want to make this kind of music i just can't seem to find a coherent person to tell me how to do it haha!
Needs to be longer.
at first I :D but then it ended. Sound's very human, unlike techno to me, hard to explain. Do want for when I play Flatout.
My birthday just passed, so things are gonna settle down here now. Hopefully I can get back to Ableton and put some more work into it this week :D
how do you do this shit, i really want to make this kind of music i just can't seem to find a coherent person to tell me how to do it haha!
I tried watching video tutorials, but all I really got out of those was how to use some of the tools, and not really the art of making these sounds. I use a Native Instruments software called Massive, if you haven't heard of it. I wish I could point you in the direction of a good tutorial, but i haven't found one. I've just been messing around with it for weeks and weeks. Set the LFO to the filter cutoff, and the rest is yours to experiment with! :D
Doesnt sound very dubsteppy towards the end tbh, gets more electro house. It's all nice though.
That was the point :v:
I use a Native Instruments called Massive, if you haven't heard of it.
Native instruments is the company that makes Massive not the type of product it is. Massive is a softsynth (software synthesizer) :P
Native instruments is the company that makes Massive not the type of product it is. Massive is a softsynth (software synthesizer) :P
I meant to say a Native Instruments "software". Fix'd
I hate dubstep, but this was actually pretty good.
Great synths used, gotta love massive. My C&C: The drumbeats are boring. Try varying them and adding hi-hats. The intro snare is too loud, and definitely needs some kicks with it. Add some SUB bass! I can't stress that enough for dubstep, it makes drops hit hard and everything sound better.
You should make a full version of the second half because it is really good.
I like the electro part in the end, the dubs good too!
Fuck me inside out cross section this is awesome! Nice job man!
I loved it from 1:00 onwards
My day: Wake up. Take A Shower. Listen to this song. Take another shower.
Sounds good, kind of changes towards the end, I like that.
I really gotta continue/remake this.
How'd you make this? Programs? Also, be more loyal to the genre if you're going to call it dubstep.. though art isn't at all about loyalty.. what I mean is more WUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUUUUBUUBUUUUUUUU.
This was made with Ableton and Massive, with the WOW formant filter. I think it's okay to mix it up a bit and still call it dubstep. If it was nothing but the "loyal" sound, it would be boring.
WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUB I liked it.
dude the link aint working and i'd love to hear it cause i love dubstep and where did you get you're inspiration
dude the link aint working and i'd love to hear it cause i love dubstep and where did you get you're inspiration
It works for me. Give it a second to load. There wasn't really inspiration for this piece specifically, but I'm influenced by countless producers on the dubstep forums and elsewhere in the music industry.
