Thanks to this thread I wear a seatbelt while on the toilet.
What's up with the top hat?
You survived slightly hurt - Have a heart for near-death experience.
I've never even seen a life threatening wreck in real life, but I've come close to hitting a few people, but for now, I am wreck free.
if anyone quotes that picture again I will fight you
Hello facepunchers. How many of you have been in wrecks? Not rear ends, but actual wrecks? I am making this thread basted off the experience I just had. In drivers ed, we were driving kind of out in the boonies. I had already driven, so the other student was driving. I was off in my own little world, looking down in the backseat behind the driver when BAM, this bigass truck hits the side of our car and rams us into a ditch. I am scared and confused. My driving instructor is bleeding and the other student is, well, I have no idea. A UPS worker and some cute chicks help us out and we call 911 and our parents. We talk a little, look at the bigass totaled car and watch them take my bleeding driving instructor into the ambulance (He was talking, so I think he's alright) and they take the girl to (her head was hurting, probably from the airbag). My chest is sore, but most likely from the seatbelt. Got a nice bruise too. But yeah, it was scary and it was my first wreck (only two rear ends before) and it is fucking scary. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT. I probably would be in the hospital to if I was on the other side of the backseat. We were all wearing our seatbelt, and we are all alright.
So FP, care to share any of your stories?
You're pretty lucky; if you hadn't been wearing your seatbelt you would've had serious injuries or even died. I still don't understand why people have issues with wearing them. It's common sense.
Glad you're alright in any case.
My buddy is going to jail because he was driving drunk and his buddy was in the truck with him when he hit a tree hauling ass.
He's getting attempted vehicular man slaughter, DUI, and an MIP.
He also just joined the Marines.

Good thing he wore a seat-belt. The stolen Ferrari is in bad shape though.
My sister got into a car wreck about a week ago. The car rolled 3 times and her friend who wasn't wearing a seatbelt was thrown out the window, but they both walked away totally fine (well except for some bumps and bruises). Her laptop was smashed though, and the car was totaled.
what really happened to OP
OP: "OH SHIT IM LOSING ALOT OF BLOOD!"
Everyone else in the car: Dead
OP:I KNOW WHAT I'LL DO, ILL POST IT ON FACEPUNCH!*
So op goes and post his accident on facepunch, while his Driving instructor and driving buddy sit in the car while ups guy just stares at the bodys
*Alternative ending
Dead driving buddies come back from the dead, throw op out window, he breaks neck- everyone is happy
Why the hell would they pair you with another student driver? That sounds like a HUGE liability and a very moronic idea.

Shit... :ohdear: I couldn't help it.
Seriously. That has to suck for that girl. I really hope her life gets back to normal.
Stupid traffic made a guy rear end me which made me rear end another guy which caused a chain reaction all the way to the red light a few years ago.(There was like 5 people involved)
I drove my car into a kiddy gym once. Ironically, I was driving a white chevy conversion van. Isn't that something?
i dont see how a seatbelt really helps when you get hit from the side
[editline]10:39AM[/editline]
and besides that if you had barely even driven yourself you cant tell people what to do
Four way stop traffic lights were out,it's our turn so we're going until we see the exact same explorer going like 70 to 80 that won't stop hit's us car flips once lands on it's side, me and little sister were sitting in the back neither of us wearing seat belts well she goes through the window and hits the concerte (if that makes sense?) I land on top of her unknowingly, mom ask's if everyone is alright we say yes until we realize my little sister didn't say anything we see her mom picks her up she has gash on her forehead that's bleeding bad, bystander's pry passneger door open they lift us out , ambulance arive little sister is coughing up blood, she broke her head, nose ,but she's alright she looks different though but it's cool cause now she looks cuter.
Easily could have been avoided with a seat belt.

It keeps you from slamming into the concerte or the other side of the car.

She probably has little to no hair left so shes covering it.
Yeah. I was in a friends car and we were going 100+ on a highway at night.
Fucking deer
Driving with friends, an Asian lady t-bones us. She wasn't even supposed to go. Her light was red. Hit my side of the car.
Picture this:
Red Mercedes E class with a blue '98 Toyota Camery sticking out of it's right side door. Needless to say, I was fine. Her car, however, was totaled.

Another time my friend was really high and tried to drift around a corner in a Volkswagon. We ended up against a lightpole and hitting a Toyota FJ. Top 5 scariest moments in my life.
Haven't driven with him or in a Volkswagon and/or FJ in a year and a half.
I was in a not so serious one, but it's amazing how serious things can get if just one thing goes wrong or you don't wear a seatbelt.
My dad was driving me into the city (was a few years back, I'm driving now) and a big ass truck pulls out in front of us from a side street, brakes were on hard and fast. We eventually hit the truck at about 40 km/h. My dad knew what he was doing and swerved the car into the wheel of the truck, but if he hadn't, then either me or both of us would've had out heads lopped off (we were in a convertible.)
We were both wearing seatbelts though, so we got pretty severe chest pains for the next few weeks, but nothing serious. Car's front end was a pulp of metal.
That year wasn't exactly good for me, had another two incidents where I almost died too.

I got nailed by some fatass while I was riding my bright orange bike, wearing a white hat in the middle of a bright summer day. she blew the stop sign, dragged my bike under her car for about 1/8th of a mile, and then stopped. She said she didn't see me. I was a moving fucking traffic cone. But it's all good, my friend Chase winged the side of her car when she stopped.
