This week, black & white hardcore and pv album covers... And The Smashing Pumpkins. Woo.
Ah shit i completely forgot about the new Gaza album. How was it?
I really like it, it was the first Gaza album I've heard but I think it's a really cool mix of mathcore/grind and sludge. Apparently this album is more melodic than their previous two but I like the addition of clean guitars in some of the tracks. Definitely one of the better albums I've heard this year.

Honestly I did like it as well, but as some user on last.fm [citation needed] pointed out, a lot of the tracks had the habit of ending with one melodic and, dare I say, what most would call "epic" riff that looped and faded out in the end. It's a pretty powerful effect IF used sparingly enough. Having 9/10 tracks ending in a similar fashion really wears out the effect it gives. Musically the album had little to no flaws at all. It's obvious they've gone way more melodic from what they've started from, but they still accomplish to maintain that distinct "chaoticness" familiar from their earlier recordings. I just wish there were more tracks that stood out from the rest on the album.
8/10, would listen again.
