Totally depends on the hardcore part on what you mean. Atmospheric hardcore is kinda strange to me. Yes I have listened to Rosetta but I'd just call them Post Metal.

The more I listen to post-metal the more I think each band is better described using what genres they're influenced by.
If I'm talking to people who know music, I'd rather use a descriptive term rather than a simple term for people who don't know music.

Well that's fair enough mate, and I appreciate your view on it too. All bands are too same too different these days, and especially with metal and it's bullshit sub genres its hard to pinpoint a style in two words.
